In the heart of Ansadar's main city, a former villa belonging to Antiga resource tycoon was recently converted into a command post. This low-lying, Palladio classical-style building, constructed primarily of red brick and diamond-shaped translucent glass, houses a secure underground chamber with thick alloy steel walls extending deep underground. The reinforced walls alone are over 60cm thick, enough to withstand a tactical nuclear blast.

Given that the Terran Confederacy had repeatedly sent Ghost operative to assassinate those who held political dissent, using bloody and brutal methods to eliminate dissidents, the Revolutionary Guard Marshal, despite Augustus himself often appearing at the forefront of the war, still hoped that he could stay in the safest place when commanding the army.

Even with Ghost operative like Sarah Kerrigan protecting Augustus, Faraday still believed it wasn't foolproof. Not only the Terran Confederacy, but even the Zerg were after Augustus, and nobody knew what the Protoss were thinking; there was no guarantee they wouldn't one day break ties with the Revolutionary Army.

The Revolutionary Army had tough guys who could lead soldiers into battle and generals like Warfield who were capable of commanding the overall situation. As long as Augustus remained on the battlefield, the Revolutionary Army was an army with a soul.

"After you broadcast the news to all of Antiga, the people of several cities near Ansadar have stormed the Confederacy in those cities. They tore down the Confederacy flag from the city hall and burned it, replacing it with the red flag of the Revolutionary Army." In the secure underground chamber, Kerrigan was giving Augustus a military intelligence report.

"Good news is also coming from other regions, with some Confederacy officials even leading the rebellion and hiding our flags in their homes—along with requests for our help or to eliminate the local Zerg," she said.

"They might even have a Kel-Morian flag hidden in their house; that's nothing new," Augustus chuckled.

"We don't have enough manpower to guard dozens or hundreds of cities and settlements right now. It's best to have as few areas and directions as possible to defend." He stood straight, one hand behind his back, the other gesturing on a tactical map on the LED screen.

Above is a star map of Antiga Prime and its two moons, as well as a map of the main battlefields on the planet's surface, covering a battle line that stretches for tens of thousands of miles.

"Concentrate the majority of the population in the largest cities, then station troops there, and use Psi Disrupter to establish defenses. Have the locals stockpile food and prepare for a long battle; we must hold Antiga."

Augustus spoke, he kept his eyes glued to the battle map on the screen while picking up a small glass of brandy from the liquor cabinet beside him. To this day, the Mengsk Family's fondness for alcohol still influenced Augustus, a trait evident in his father and brothers.

When Augustus in thought or feeling depressed and distressed, and when coffee had run out of effect, he would often invigorate himself with a small amount of alcohol. Augustus a high tolerance for alcohol, but he always drank only a little bit of spirits; the last time he was drunk was when Josephine died.

"Your orders will be carried out as always." Kerrigan said, casually tossing her long, fiery red hair, which was tied behind her back, over her chest as she walked past a mahogany table and chairs.

The underground safe room was not spacious, only enough to accommodate Lower Augustus, Kerrigan, Corporal Faraday, and their elite guards.

Even so, this underground chamber with its mahogany floors was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, including automatic washing facilities, tables, chairs, and beds. The lower floors also contained enough water and food to sustain the inhabitants for several years.

The sealed chamber is powered by a miniature fusion reactor, which keeps all its facilities running even if the entire planet becomes completely silent.

These standards were prepared to deal with a possible nuclear war, because after the Confederacy used nuclear weapons to destroy Korhal IV, people no longer doubted that the Confederacy would punish its rebellious colonies with nuclear weapons.

"The Garm Brood network near Ansadar is still growing, and the detected Zerg life signals have exceeded two hundred thousand." As Kerrigan approached Augustus, the mechanical Adjutant in the lower right corner of the screen began to issue a warning.

"The Swarm is about to launch an attack," the Adjutant said.

"Sarah, how's the deployment of the Psi Disrupter going?" Augustus asked, sipping his drink.

"The engineers in the engineering team have finished assembling it and are activating the Psi Disrupter. The lead engineer reported to me that they will be able to activate the Psi Disrupter in ten minutes," Kerrigan said.

"The sooner the better," Augustus said, as the screen switched to an aerial view of Ansadar City taken by the Fleets from high orbit.

At this moment, Garm Brood with dark orange carapaces were gathering on the high platforms all around Ansadar. The squeaking and howling alien monsters surged towards the alloy steel fortifications outside the city like a rising tide. The Bunker buried deep in the ground and the missile clusters on the walls adjusted their firing angles with a buzzing sound.

On the tallest building in the Ansadar complex, countless golden and red flags of the Revolutionary Army seemed to be fluttering in the wind. In the sky, Wraith, Avenger fighters, and Kel-Morian Hellhound fighters painted with the Revolutionary Army insignia soared, and the flight formations roared as they swept over the city, making the windows of the residential buildings rattle.

In the city squares and other public places, hundreds of thousands of Ansadar are spontaneously gathering, armed and ready to support the front lines at any time.

Compared to the period of Confederacy rule, the people of Antiga were clearly more willing to support the Revolutionary Army's military operations. This was both because of the Revolutionary Army's promises and actions in fulfilling its revolutionary ideals, and because, compared to the Revolutionary Army, the Confederacy army seemed more like the terrorists and butchers who preyed on the elderly, women, and children as portrayed by the Confederacy.

Just as the Swarm drew closer to Ansadar, the Psi Disrupter in the city center activated, and an invisible wave of energy spread out in all directions like ripples on the surface of water.

Just as Augustus had seen, the Zerg that was steadily approaching the Anzadargarm Swarm suddenly halted its advance. The leading army of Zerglings, Hydralisks, Ultralisks, Scorpions, Mirages, and Swarm Guardians stopped in their tracks, seemingly frozen in place, like intelligent machines that had not received any commands.

The tightly organized attack formation subsequently became chaotic, and the previously ferocious insects began to wander aimlessly. Some particularly savage Zerg even extended their fangs and claws towards their own kind.

Before long, the Swarm descended into a frenzied state of mutual slaughter, with Zerg spawning from different main nests killing each other.

The Psi Disrupter covered an area within a 20-mile radius of Ansadar, disrupting the Garm Brood's Cerebrate over its members and causing the Zerg to attack each other and fight independently, much like their ancestors on Zerus.

Soon, blood flowed outside Ansadar as the Zerg fought each other, falling to the sharp teeth and claws of their own kind.

The Mutalisk in the sky wrestled together like fighting falcons. Driven by instinct, the Scourge uncontrollably crashed into the helpless Overlord floating in the air, and scarlet blood, carapaces, and organs rained down to the ground like a storm.

The remaining Swarm retreated hesitantly into the tunnels of the Nydus Worm. It would likely take the Cerebrate, rulers of the Garm Brood, a considerable amount of time to figure out what weapons the Antiga humans had used to cause such chaos and lose control of their swarm.

This could be a devastating blow to the cunning Cerebrate, which has never lost control over its Swarm members since the Swarm Overmind created these advanced intelligent beings.

"Very good. Swann and the others have done a good job." Augustus could hear the cheers of the staff officers on the command channel, which meant that humanity now possessed weapons that could effectively counter the Zerg.

At the same time, however, the sound of breaking glass suddenly came from the underground safe room, and Faraday and the guards all drew their sidearms.

"What's going on, my dear?" Augustus's smile suddenly froze, and he turned to look at Kerrigan with a sharp gaze.

For Augustus, whose PSI value was only level 3 (most Terrans' Psionics levels are between 0 and 2), this artificially created Psionics waveform only caused him a slight stinging sensation, but in Kerrigan's mind, who was extremely sensitive to Psionics, it was a huge roar.

Unseen by Augustus, Kerrigan frowned deeply. A mere wisp of her powerful telepathic abilities ignited a wall lamp with golden patterns, along with all the bottles and glasses on the table, instantly spilling crimson Porter liquor all over the floor.

Seeing Augustus's hawk-like gaze, Kerrigan instinctively stepped back to avoid him. Kerrigan had extremely painful memories of losing control of her Psionics, and she was also afraid of others, especially Augustus feared her because of it.

However, to Kerrigan, Augustus turned around and embraced her without hesitation.

"Calm down, everything will be alright. This bit of Psionics is nothing more than a gentle breeze on the ocean for you," Augustus.

Seeing this, Faraday and the others put away their weapons and instead began cleaning up the shards of glass shattered by Kerrigan's telekinesis.

"Does the Psi Disrupter affect you too?" he asked.

"I can feel my psionic Psionics weakened," Kerrigan said, "But it's not obvious."

"It's clear that the Zerg's Psionics are different from ours." Augustus believed that this weakening might not be a bad thing for Kerrigan, as it meant that the Overmind's chances of finding her were reduced.

"What's your current Psionics level?" he asked Kerrigan.

"It seems like nothing's changed." Kerrigan lowered her goggles. "Still 10."

"I know that feeling; top students all say that," Augustus.

Kerrigan blushed and stepped back from Augustus's embrace. Although Kerrigan also longed to be protected, she was not a weak girl. In fact, when she put on the Wraith suit, Kerrigan was fully capable of kicking someone's neck off with one kick.

"Lieutenant, contact the engineering corps on the Hyperion and have them manufacture more Psi Disrupter. I need to deploy these devices throughout Antiga," Augustus said, turning back to the screen.

"At the same time, I also want them to make improvements on this basis. Since we can manufacture Psi Disrupter, we can make them into portable weapons."

"What are the Confederacy landing forces in Antiga doing now?"

"Commander, the detectors have detected a large number of Zerg near the Confederacy base. Zerg near Ansadar are gathering there," the Adjutant on the screen reported to Augustus.

"The Confederacy forces are expected to be overwhelmed by the Swarm in fifteen minutes."

"What happened?" Kerrigan at the screen, but quickly realized what was going on.

"In Jimmy's words, wow—someone's in big trouble," Augustus.

"They originally came to deal with us, but after we use the Psi Disrupter, the Zerg will find that the only enemy left on this land is the Confederacy army, since the Confederacy base is not actually far from us," he said.

"If the Garm Brood's Cerebrate possessed human-like intelligence and even a modicum of emotion, he would surely be enraged. And the Confederacy forces, completely unaware of this, would become the target of his fury."

"Revolutionary Army Raynor's Raiders calling command, this is Jim, the bugs are heading towards the Confederacy base—thank goodness." Raynor's voice came through the command center's communications equipment.

"Wow—someone's going to be in big trouble," he said.

"As you commanded, my men and I are racing 20 miles from our Confederacy base. Want to interfere? We're ready to tap dance over the corpses of Confederacy."

"You know, Jimmy, this is to our advantage. Be careful of the Confederacy diverting our attention elsewhere," Augustus. "Watch out for communications from the Confederacy landing forces."

"I'm delighted," Raynor said. "They brought this on themselves. If these guys had just stayed put with the Fleets in orbit, they wouldn't be in this mess today."

"Okay. I'll keep an eye on them," he said, then ended the call.

"Lieutenant, switch the monitoring channel to the main channel," Augustus.

"Perhaps the Garm Brood's Cerebrate are searching for the differences between us and the Confederacy, these two human armies? We'll never figure out what's going on in the Zerg's minds; their morals and way of thinking are completely different from humans."

Augustus kept staring at the main screen until, ten minutes later, he heard the cries of the Confederacy landing forces being swallowed by the surging Garm Brood coming through the radio communications on the monitoring channel. Only then did he silently leave.
