This enormous underground cavern is supported by deep red earth and solid rock walls, and thousands of flesh-colored worm-like filaments, several feet long, hang from its dome, resembling pulsating, bluish intestines.

Between the hanging insect curtains were black holes of varying sizes, each containing many pairs of inverted triangles emitting a scarlet glow—these were the Mutalisk spying on the intruders.

The cave's interior was covered with a deep purple Creep and some kind of blackened mold, resembling the skin of a rotten apple. Numerous wriggling, pulsating red worm intestines were spread across the ground, like countless red earthworms or a densely woven spider web.

Stepping on these thick, creeping Creep felt like walking through a viscous, gelatinous liquid, like glue on a flyboard. Augustus felt as if he were walking through the mud of a swamp, each step producing an unpleasant squelching sound.

The Protoss forces led by that High Templar of Sargath were still battling the enormous and ferocious Toaskree. Dozens of gleaming light blades shone in the darkness, and the hissing sound of the psionic blades burning the air and the echoes of the monster's earth-shattering roar reverberated between the cave walls.

"... What is this thing? It's stuck to my iron boots!" Tychus was still preoccupied with other things.

"It looks like some kind of excrement. I mean, Zerg poop." Harnack activated the flamethrower on his Firebat Power Armor, and the surging flames instantly illuminated the path ahead.

"It must be Mutalisk excrement. They hunt other creatures far from the Zerg hive and Creep," Kerrigan said. "As you all know, the Zerg eat people too."

"Watch out overhead!" Augustus shouted into the communication channel.

The Mutalisk that had been hiding in the cave ceiling and the Mutalisk Spire all screamed as they left their lairs. Flying creatures with wingspans comparable to fighter jets hovered above Augustus and his companions, their flapping wings making a creaking sound.

The force led by Augustus was the elite of the elite. These brave and fearless warriors were all tough guys who remained calm even when Mount Tai collapsed in front of them during the war against the Zerg. They were well-equipped, with anti-aircraft missile launchers on their shoulders, as well as a large number of heavy machine gun squads, and were equipped with the powerful D-7 explosives and geomagnetic grenades.

When Augustus gave the order, his soldiers immediately began to advance in squads and three-man fire teams, maintaining distance from each other. The most senior medics followed the advancing column, each focused intently on their weapons and the alien monsters they faced.

As the circling Mutalisk dropped deadly Glaive Wurm, about a hundred missiles with built-in lock-on capabilities began to take off. The screaming flying creatures scattered to avoid the incoming missiles, and the unluckiest ones had already been blown into flying fragments.

Several leaping Glaive Wurm still landed among Augustus's Revolutionary Army soldiers, and the acid and chemicals from the violent explosion instantly melted the human soldiers wearing alloy Power Armor.

"Prepare to activate the Psi Disrupter." Several Revolutionary Army engineers, under heavy protection, immediately began activating the already assembled Psi Disrupter under Augustus's orders.

The engineers also wore dark red Power Armor. Using this heavy armor didn't take much effort on them, as most of the damaged Power Armor was repaired by the Revolutionary Army's Engineer Corps.

The Hydralisk and Zergling on the ground have all been killed by the Protoss Templar Knights, thus easing the pressure on the Revolutionary Army.

The most imposing presence in the cave was still the enormous Ultralisk with its deep red skin and even more robust carapace. Templar Knights clad in gleaming golden armor surrounded the Ultralisk, like hunters besieging a wild animal.

The Toyaskrei was much larger than ordinary Thunder Beasts, resembling a walking building. Its enormous crown even exceeded 150 feet (about 45 meters) in height, truly like a moving mountain.

Such a monster is completely immune to the spiked bullets of Gauss rifles; perhaps only large-caliber shipborne railguns could harm it. The Toyaskree is currently the largest and deadliest Zerg land creature.

At this moment, the Toaskree was trying to crush the Protoss Templars around it with its massive size and its curved scythe powerful enough to tear apart Arc Warp Tanks. However, the agile Protoss warriors managed to dodge its deadly attacks every time, but a single mistake could cost them their lives.

Each swing of the Protoss Templar's psionic blade left a bloody gash on the Toaskree's leg, but this only fueled the monster's rage.

Despite its enormous size, the Toaskree's movements can be described as swift. It can react quickly to and retaliate against attacks coming from all directions. Even though every Protoss Templar is a seasoned and powerful warrior, they still face great danger when dealing with this giant beast.

Protoss Templar Knights were frequently swept by the giant scythe, their plasma shields struggling to withstand the immense impact.

"Should we help them?" Tychus asked Augustus.

"Hold the Psi Disrupter, leave the rest to the Protoss," Augustus.

That Toaskree was far beyond the capabilities of Augustus's two hundred-odd soldiers; dealing with such a terrifying monster required the use of massive warships and heavy artillery. Even the Protoss needed to use their beam-focusing weapons when fighting the Toaskree, and only the most powerful Templars could work together to kill an ordinary Toaskree.

This cavern should be a central hub relatively close to the main hive area, connected to at least twelve different worm tunnels. Seemingly sensing the human's intention to activate the Psi Disrupter, large numbers of Garm Brood Zerg are pouring out from the other worm tunnels.

Fortunately, the Protoss support arrived just as quickly. The Aiur Protoss' unique Khala Mind Link network allowed them to exchange information in a very short time, and Protoss forces in other worm tunnels and underground caverns soon arrived from other directions through the underground passage entrances.

The High Templar of Tassadar led their army, while the golden-blue walking mechs with four agile legs moved with ease through the narrow underground caverns, traversing the uneven cave depressions and lowlands with effortless grace.

Large numbers of Zerg and Protoss warriors clashed in the cave, Templars and Zerglings locked in combat with Ultralisks, while Protoss Dragoons exchanged fire from their mechs' Phase Rip Cannons and Hydralisks in the darkness. The entire cave was filled with dazzling blue sparks and splattering acid.

Augustus's soldiers, on the other hand, were under the full protection of the Protoss, Protoss, being proud, would not allow their human allies to be threatened by the Zerg.

Augustus and his elite guards protected the Psi Disrupter that was activating between them, while the remaining soldiers used rifles, grenades, flamethrowers, man-portable missiles, and enhanced Kel-Morian high-explosive grenades to repel any approaching enemies—both on the ground and in the air.

"Sarah, concentrate. I believe the Garm Brood's Cerebrate Sars, must be nearby." Augustus even more convinced of his previous judgment. We were close enough to the Cerebrate's location, which must be one of the reasons why these Zerg had become so frenzied.

"It's too noisy here." Sarah Kerrigan on sensing the Psionics signals of Zerg Cerebrate that might be present, a state that the Protoss Augustus referred to as meditation.

"There were nearly a thousand Protoss calling out simultaneously in their Psionics links, and the Psionics enough to sweep through the city." Kerrigan did as Augustus instructed, her beautiful eyebrows furrowed tightly in pain.

"Uh--I sensed it, it's in that direction." After sensing silently for more than ten minutes, Kerrigan suddenly pointed forward, to the entrance of a cave guarded by the Toaskree.

"The Protoss must have noticed it too."

Typically, Toyaskree are extremely rare, usually only appearing in the main hive and directly controlled by the Cerebrate. Under normal circumstances, the Cerebrate will only send out these fearsome guards when it feels directly threatened.

The presence of these Ultralisk means that the Cerebrate is not far away.

The wait for the Psi Disrupter to activate became extremely long, but fortunately Augustus's forces held out until it was activated.

However, when the invisible disruptor's force field spread in all directions, its effect was significantly weaker compared to that in Ansadar City. Only a very small number of Zerg were affected, but their berserk state was not much different from usual.

"Damn it, why isn't this thing working?" Tychus knew that once the Psi Disrupter was activated, even the charging Zerg would turn around and attack their own kind. "Did we bump into something while moving this lump of metal, or did Swann's people make a mistake?"

"I think it's because we're too close to the Cerebrate, and our Psi Disrupter Cerebrate Psionics." Augustus seen all of this. "There's only one reason: this Cerebrate's Psionics is too strong."

"The Cerebrate is one of the few Zerg species with powerful Psionics. Just think about it: the more Zerg Cerebrate Zerg, the stronger its Psionics power will be," he said to Kerrigan beside him.

"Make a record of this, and have Swann reassess the value and risks of this weapon, and try to launch a project to enhance the energy output level of the Psi Disrupter."

Although the number of Garm Brood cannot compare to the Jormungand that invaded two planets in the Sara System, they are still a branch of the Zerg responsible for the main attacks.

If only the human side were to breach this underground cavern, the force that had staked its bets on the Psi Disrupter would likely be wiped out, and Augustus would certainly not risk his life.

However, the Psi Disrupter still has some impact; even a single uncontrolled Zerg that breaks away from the attack formation can cause significant chaos. The Garm Brood's Cerebrate deal with such uncontrollable individuals in a very simple and brutal way—by eliminating them as enemies.

The Protoss forces steadily gained the upper hand in the clash with the Swarm. Amidst the bursts of blue light and the release of Psionic Storm, swarms of Zerg were swept away. At the same time, large numbers of Zerg continued to pour out from the various tunnel entrances, seemingly inexhaustible.

More high-ranking Templars joined the siege of the Toaskree, their powerful psychic energy the culmination of centuries of deep meditation.

Every High Templar is the most outstanding among the Guardians of Aiur, Templar Knights who has reached another level in the Path of Khala. They are warriors skilled in hand-to-hand combat, and have reached the pinnacle of mastery in fighting techniques.

Hundreds of golden-blue dragon knight mechs also began firing at the roaring Toaskree Beast, blasting the huge and ferocious crimson monster to shreds.

Blue arcs of light swirled around the Toyask Thunder Beast, as a dozen high-ranking Templars unleashed powerful psionic energy—enough to pierce its carapace—on it.

Even so, the Toaskree beast held out for more than twenty minutes under the Protoss forces' fierce attack. When it died, its carapace was charred, and the sound of its fall was like a building collapsing.

Even after it fell, the Toyaskree's corpse began to heal itself by forming a cocoon. Augustus even suspected that if no one continued to deal with the corpse, it might even resurrect. However, the Protoss quickly used their belated Golden Scarabs to completely blast the Toyaskree's corpse to pieces.

The Protoss then stormed into the tunnels guarded by the Toaskree, with Augustus leading his soldiers in pursuit.

As they passed the corpse of the Ultralisk, everyone was astonished by its massive skeleton, comparable to that of the Taradorn Rex. It's important to remember that the Ultralisk was merely a land-dwelling animal, meaning its skeleton had to be incredibly robust to withstand the weight of its body and organs.

The cave guarded by the Toyaskree beast connected to an even larger cavern, whose walls were covered with damp, lumpy growths and tumors, and whose floor was covered with rotting tissue from which some kind of foul-smelling pus was flowing.

Augustus walked through the group of Templar Knights and was shocked to find them surrounding a fluorescent Zerg creature.

What horrified Augustus was that around this Zerg were computer mainframes and monitors for human communication devices, and the data cables that powered these devices were embedded in tumors of tissue protruding from the ground, as if the Zerg was powering them through some kind of bioelectricity.

The glowing display screen was covered in grime, slime, and Creep, surrounded by some kind of bioluminescent Zerg Zerg, much like the lights on the screen. Several Infested Terran, covered in spikes, were manipulating the devices with their stiff fingers; at least dozens of worm intestines and thick veins connected their brains to a massive tumor on the ground.

A Cerebrate using a human Holographic Projection device to watch UNN news.

The news on the screen read: Augustus Mengsk, the man who brings disaster and calamity.

--Brain Cerebrate actually read human news; they even discuss it.
