"But we are Kel-Morian," said a member of the Swann Family.

"To me, there is no difference," Augustus said, shrugging.

Swann and his men exchanged glances, and one of them, who appeared to be Swann's elder brother, spoke up, "We were born here, we grew up here, and we've never thought of leaving Meinhoff."

"Even if you could actually do it, the elders in the family wouldn't agree. For the people of Kel-Morian, nothing is more precious than their homeland and traditions. We only choose to leave our homeland in the most desperate circumstances."

Swann also found it strange that this Tyrannical officer, whom he had never met before, thought too highly of himself. Suddenly, he had the illusion that he was really very capable.

But was the other party really not just playing a trick on him?

To decide he was worth recruiting at any cost based solely on a resume whose authenticity could not be verified... Even if it were all true, Swann's achievements were not particularly outstanding, and he believed there were certainly many people in the Terran Confederacy who were far more capable than a miner who had never received higher education.

That's really strange.

Perhaps this officer really is a nobleman from the Mengsk Family, but such people often overestimate their abilities before they've been thoroughly beaten, doing things that seem impressive but ultimately flimsy. The Swann Family has nearly two thousand members, and even if they were on the verge of starvation, they wouldn't entrust their fate to a young boy without a beard.

"Of course, these are just my personal thoughts, and they are not yet fully developed. But my family does indeed lack talent like yours, whether in mining or military technology." Augustus expect Swann to agree immediately, nor did he expect him to follow him now. "I hope you will seriously consider this invitation. The Mengsk Family will always have a place for you."

"My decision was not made on a whim, but after much deliberation. Mr. Swann, staying in this Meinhoff mine will only bury your talents; the eagle of Koprulu should spread its wings and soar."

Augustus considered this issue: if Korhal IV were to revolt, the development of the military industry would be essential. In this respect, Korhal's foundation was much weaker than that of Tarsonis.

It's not just Swann; he needs talent from all walks of life, the more the better. Regardless of background, he doesn't care about the cost.

"Your talent far exceeds your own imagination, Mr. Swann. Your future lies in the stars and the Milky Way, not in these rocks and wastelands," Augustus concluded. "When the human race was still in its infancy, when the first imaginative primitive man sat by the campfire, gazing up at the stars and lost in thought, humanity's conquest of the universe had already begun."

Swann realized that Augustus serious and not wasting his time joking with him, but Swann and his brothers could hardly help but attribute it to a young man's overly imaginative mind and his wild fantasies.

Perhaps Augustus compared himself to Alexander and Caesar, aspiring to be a conqueror of the universe, but who knows, he might actually be capable of great things?

"I don't know how I can help you." Swann was somewhat tempted, but he still doubted his abilities. "As for repairing machines, patching up some scrap metal, or adding wheels to robots, I'm quite good at that. Honestly, what remarkable things can you expect a miner to do?"

"Many, many things, such as new Power Armor, new tanks, new giant armored vehicles, and new battlecruisers, and you are the founder of these great inventions." Augustus stared unblinkingly at Swann, beginning to paint a grand picture. "A vast technological conglomerate Swann Engineering will be born in your hands."

"I never thought of that." Swann's eyes widened. "Go on."

"."

"Imagine that the leaps in technological development will ultimately be used to improve people's lives, and you will be a great man who benefits mankind." Augustus continued to paint a rosy picture, "Many, many years from now, children will carve stone statues and erect monuments in your honor."

"I like this." Swann stroked his dark beard. "But I still need to think it over carefully. There are too many things to worry about when going on a long trip. I've never even heard of Korhal, let alone the Korhal family."

In fact, if Swann wanted to, he could have left Meinhoff immediately and sought a good job on the core planet of Kel-Morian. But he remained on this desolate planet until 2500, when he could no longer tolerate the exploitation by Kel-Morian's bureaucracy and rebelled, at which point Swann joined the Raynor Raynor's Raiders.

But before that, no wealthy nobleman's son had suddenly come up to you and said that even if it wasn't for money, you should still realize your ideals and ambitions.

"Of course. It's okay if you don't make a decision now; we can sign the contract a year from now." Augustus smiled brightly.

"What?" Before Swann could speak, his cousins were already whispering to each other—and they considered themselves to be whispering.

"A contract of servitude? We won't be slaves to Tyron Entrepreneurs."

"This is protected by law," Augustus.

"No problem? I haven't agreed yet." Swann thought for a moment and said, "After talking for so long, I almost forgot why I came here. Didn't you want to hire me to modify your spaceship?"

"Yes, I'll take you to see her." Augustus stood up and took his coat from the rack beside him. "Lisa, you can rest for a bit."

Augustus led Swann and the others out of the overseer's office, down the stone stairs, and through a gate guarded by Heaven's Devils into the open industrial park. About a platoon of Resocialized Soldier ran past Augustus, stopping in unison to salute him, their discipline astonishing the people of Kel-Morian.

On Augustus's way to the temporary hangar, all the factory workshops were already in operation, and the workers were busy at work, seemingly full of energy. Once Augustus's troops left, they might return to the days of not having enough to eat.

The temporary hangar was converted from a raw material warehouse, with walls painted in a dark gray color. The two warehouses next to the hangar were filled with crates of cut and weighed Ardien Crystal, about four-fifths of which were to be handed over, while the rest went into Augustus's pocket.

After the hangar's air valves were opened, Swann finally saw the black and gray painted "Little Devil" transport ship.

"The new upgrade plan, adding a new stealth force field emitter, isn't cheap. I'm always a straightforward person," Swann said, looking at Augustus.

"Mr. Mosker, do you have enough money?"
