Uchiha's Three Giants! Action!

Konoha, Uchiha Compound, Fugaku's home.

The Ninja Cat's call woke Fugaku.

As Fugaku sat up, he saw a completely black cat sitting beside him, a scroll strapped to its back.

He reached out and removed the scroll, and the Ninja Cat jumped out through the window and left.

Fugaku frowned deeply, sensing that something was wrong. Normally, reports from the Ninja Cat clan arrived every afternoon during their transactions. Why had a message suddenly come in the middle of the night?

As he pondered, Fugaku opened the scroll. There was only one short, straightforward sentence written on it:

Root attack. Uchiha Chikura and the remaining ninjas were all killed.

Fugaku got up, tucked the blanket over his wife Mikoto, and immediately headed for Senya's home.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The knocking woke Senya as well. He came to the door and opened it, only to find Fugaku standing outside.

"It's so late. What happened? You look like you're in a hurry."

Senya had still been bleary-eyed, but the moment he saw Fugaku's grave, solemn expression, he immediately sobered up.

"Let's talk inside. Something happened."

The two entered the house and went to the living room.

Fugaku hurriedly spoke.

"Chikura and the others were killed. Root attacked them. All twelve Uchiha ninjas died."

Upon hearing this, Senya sprang up from his chair.

"What did you say? Root attacked them?! They were all killed?"

Fugaku's face was filled with grief. Sitting at the table, he couldn't help clenching his fists.

"That's right. They're all dead. That damned old bastard Danzo—I never expected him to be so bold. He actually dared to strike at the Uchiha at a time like this."

"Senya, what do we do next?"

Senya went straight back to his room and changed into combat gear before returning to Fugaku.

"Let's go."

Seeing Senya's expressionless face and combat gear, Fugaku guessed what he intended.

"Go? You're going to attack Root right now?"

Senya turned to look at him, his expression mild and calm.

"What do you think? Should we go to Root in the middle of the night and invite Danzo for tea?"

Fugaku hurriedly got up and pressed Senya back into his chair.

He began trying to persuade him.

"Senya, it's not just you. I also want to storm Root and cause a scene, but if we do that, what happens to our plan? The clan finally—"

"Enough!"

Senya shot to his feet and shoved Fugaku away.

"Kindness invites bullying. I hadn't wanted to fall out with that bastard Danzo this soon, but since he struck first, then he can't blame me for being ruthless."

"You don't need to worry about what comes after. I have my own way. If I don't avenge this, I won't be able to sleep!"

"Just tell me whether you're coming or not. Stop yammering. If you're a man, quit talking and answer me—are you coming or not?!"

Senya's words worked. Fugaku stood up and walked over to him.

"Of course I'm a man! I have two sons already! Do you think I'm not a man?!"

"But since you have a way to deal with what comes afterward, then there's no time to waste. Let's set out immediately. The problem is, do you know where Root's base is?"

Senya directly shook his head, his face serious.

"No."

The atmosphere instantly became incredibly awkward. Fugaku didn't know what to say. He only wanted to beat Senya up first, but when he considered that he might not be able to win and would end up getting beaten instead, he suppressed the urge.

"I don't know right now, but I have a way to find out."

"What way?"

Senya looked at Fugaku as though he were an idiot.

"Why don't you wake Itachi up and ask him? How could he not know?"

Fugaku froze. That did seem right. Itachi had been in the Anbu for so long and had worked under Danzo for so many years—how could he possibly not know where Root's base was?

It was just that ever since the clan meeting, neither of them had thought to ask Itachi about it.

Having reached an agreement, the two immediately rushed back to Fugaku's home and directly hauled Itachi out of bed.

Still asleep, Itachi only felt a force tugging at the back of his neck and lifting him up. When he opened his eyes, he was already standing there in his pajamas, with his father and Senya glaring at him furiously.

For a moment, Itachi had no idea what was going on. He must have unknowingly done something to betray the clan again, enough to make the two men before him so furious that they had dragged him out of bed in the middle of the night.

He immediately lowered his head, crouched down, and dropped to one knee.

"Forgive me, Father, Vice Clan Head. I was wrong!"

Senya and Fugaku were completely baffled and exchanged looks.

"Fugaku, did you beat your son stupid?"

"I didn't, I haven't, and why would I go around hitting Itachi for no reason?!"

Now Itachi, still kneeling on one knee, was equally dumbfounded. He raised his head, stood up, and looked at the two of them again.

"You came looking for me this late at night. Wasn't it because I did something wrong?"

Senya and Fugaku both shook their heads in denial.

"No. We came to ask where Root is. We're going to avenge our clansmen."

Itachi was baffled again. His eyes looked somewhat dim-witted, yet somehow still sharp.

As Senya looked at Itachi, he instinctively felt that the other man currently resembled a "brilliantly idiotic killer."

So he told Itachi the information Fugaku had just told him.

Itachi immediately said that he had to be included in something like this. He had long been sick of those damned Root bastards, and there was no way he could miss this.

Thus, all three Mangekyo wielders geared up and arrived outside Root's base in the dense forest behind Konoha's Hokage Rock, looking thoroughly menacing.

Senya raised a hand to signal them to stop, then turned to look at the other two.

"Remember not to expose your Mangekyo yet. It's not time. I'll be the only one who reveals mine."

Fugaku shook his head, saying that would not do.

"Senya, using the Mangekyo gradually weakens its wielder's eyesight until they eventually go blind. You still have to lead the clan in the future, so let me handle this."

Fugaku spoke to Senya with a perfectly serious expression, but in truth, he simply wanted to vent his anger on Root!

Besides, the clan still had Senya and his own son, two Mangekyo wielders. Whether for the clan or himself, a matter like beating up Root should be left to him. He had no intention of letting such a fine opportunity slip away. Senya had already said he had a way to clean things up afterward anyway.

He handled so many matters every day, and lately Senya had even started tossing documents straight onto his desk for him to deal with. This time, he absolutely had to relieve some stress by taking it out on Root!

At that moment, Itachi spoke up as well.

"I should be the one to reveal the Mangekyo. I made too many mistakes in the past. Father is the Clan Head, and Senya is the leader behind the clan. I'm the most suitable person for this."

Ever since his conversation with Senya on the night of the clan meeting, every time he went to Root, he found everyone around him utterly disgusting. Every last one of them seemed brain-dead, as though their cerebellums had been scooped out.

The thought that he had once been just like those Root idiots, working alongside them and serving Danzo, filled him with shame. He had to personally act to wash away that humiliation in blood!

Senya saw that both father and son made reasonable points, yet he vaguely felt that something was off. It seemed to him that they just wanted to steal his chance to show off.

"Fine, then all of us will use them. Since you both want to, just remember to conserve your eye power."

With no other choice, Senya said this. Still, thinking of how Sasuke had used his Mangekyo in the original story—wrecking his eyes only days after awakening it—he gave them a kind reminder.

Seeing that Senya allowed them both to use the Mangekyo, the two looked eager to get started. Neither said anything else.

Only then did Senya dare conclude that these two idiots really did want to show off. Emmm, and they probably bore deep grudges against Root too. After all, the Uchiha clan was crazy. All of them were crazy.
