An adult Sasuke from another world also appears in the story. He uses a Mangekyō Sharingan to share his memories through Tsukuyomi and displays a six-tomoe Rinnegan against Urashiki; the provided chapters do not date either awakening 376 377 390.

Background and History

Sasuke is Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha’s younger son and Itachi’s brother. Itachi tries to spend more time with him after years occupied by clan and village affairs, but Sasuke’s habit of imitating their stern father repeatedly tests his patience. Their quarrel ends with Sasuke awakening the Sharingan. Wanting to surpass Itachi, Sasuke asks Uchiha Senya to take him as a student; Senya accepts him into a training group with Hinata, Shino, and Hayate 57 128.

Senya initially sets Sasuke the goal of learning ninjutsu across all five elemental transformations. Later, Sasuke questions whether that breadth would distract from his strengths in Fire and Lightning Release. He agrees to study under Orochimaru as a second master after Senya explains that Orochimaru’s knowledge could support an individualized training program and new techniques 134 386.

During the Chūnin Exams, Sasuke fights alongside Naruto and Sakura. He uses a captured signal flare to draw rival teams toward one another while Team 7 escapes, and later defeats Samui with a lightning technique developed from Hikari’s guidance 273 334. He subsequently becomes a jōnin and serves on Kakashi’s team with Sakura and Sai. During the war, he leads the First Vanguard Squad 498 519.

The visiting adult Sasuke

An older Sasuke arrives with Boruto from another world, where the Uchiha compound was destroyed. Meeting the living Itachi, Mikoto, Fugaku, and his younger self forces him to confront memories of the massacre. He uses Tsukuyomi to show them what happened in his world 370 372 376 377. He later joins the fight against Urashiki and prepares to return to his wife Sakura and daughter Sarada 390 391 393.

Appearance

The visiting adult Sasuke resembles his younger self but hides his face beneath a hat when they first meet. His left sleeve is empty because he has lost that arm 371 372 375.

Personality

Young Sasuke is proud, competitive, and quick to challenge both Itachi and Naruto. He can rush into an attack when frustrated, but also devises traps, studies an opponent’s strengths, and weighs whether a proposed teacher suits his goals 128 132 273 334 386.

His rivalry with Naruto is affectionate as well as fierce. Sasuke defends Naruto’s decision to keep fighting Hikari despite the danger, later gives him a prized silver kunai before his departure, and sends him a handmade Team 7 statue while Naruto trains away from home 285 395 449. By the war, Sasuke also thinks deliberately about earning his peers’ trust as he pursues the goal of becoming Hokage 520.
