Even if "Ying" cannot yet access the memory modules within the brain's neural pathways and cannot copy memories as easily as Rowan, "Ying" still possesses its own methods.

When the modified subject becomes something akin to a "brain in a vat," living in a world crafted for them by "Ying," "Ying" acts as the true God of this world. It can constantly alter the world line or even reboot it repeatedly, allowing the subject to unleash their true nature and demonstrate their habits within the virtual environment.

"Ying" can even shape a virtual world identical to reality to observe the subject's behavior and collect their data.

In this way, even without the subject's original memories, through constant world-building and reboots, the subject can basically hide no secrets.

All of this is collected by "Ying" to build a "Big Data" profile of the subject. When a situation arises, "Ying" directly filters through this data, selecting the most compatible patterns to dictate the subject's behavior in reality. Such mimicry makes it extremely difficult to distinguish the fake from the real.

Thinking about it this way, Saide in the Castle is likely no longer the real Saide; he is merely a replica played by a sub-routine of "Ying."

The more Rowan thought about it, the more he felt this was highly probable. Moreover, this would resolve many of his previous doubts, such as why there was almost no sound coming from the Castle after Saide entered.
