Although Nano-Seeds could reach their target locations and successfully infiltrate enemy warships, the final success rate might be only one in a thousand, or even one in ten thousand. The journey was fraught with hardship and danger.
But no matter how low the ratio was, it could not withstand the Nano-Seeds' massive base number. Although Nano-Seeds were highly advanced, their extremely tiny size meant that each one consumed very little production material. An Insect Empress could easily set aside time to produce hundreds of millions a day, and if she worked exclusively on production, the speed could be even faster, potentially reaching hundreds of billions.
Thus, once their numbers reached a terrifying scale, the number of Nano-Seeds that actually arrived within the enemy formation remained considerable. Every warship would receive at least a hundred or so.
Not all of these Nano-Seeds could mutate into Insect Empresses and creep. Though those two were useful, neither possessed any offensive capability during their early stages. Therefore, no more than ten Nano-Seeds aboard each warship would mutate into Insect Empresses and creep, while all the remaining Nano-Seeds mutated into support units.
Considering that Nano-Seeds were operating within enemy territory, their means of gathering energy were limited. Their task was to protect the normal development of the Insect Empress Eggs and creep, so they certainly could not wait for the creep to mature and charge up. That would be putting the cart before the horse.
Yet there was little radiation inside enemy warships. If the Nano-Seeds wanted to gather the energy needed for mutation, they could only take risks. But if multiple Nano-Seeds absorbed energy at once, they would inevitably draw attention and cause unnecessary trouble. Thus, how to develop quickly without being noticed became a new problem.
However, through the efforts of the Intellect
