"Whew..."
"Success!"
Looking at the fish leaping about vigorously before him, a smile immediately bloomed on Uchiha Yue's face, and his gaze shifted toward Tsunade.
In a mere three minutes, Uchiha Yue had used his Medical Ninjutsu to successfully revive a fish that had been dead for three hours, completing the training task set by Tsunade. Even Uchiha Yue himself felt a bit surprised. He knew from watching the original series that it had taken Haruno Sakura quite a long time to complete this specific training when she was under Tsunade's tutelage.
Therefore, having finished this training, Uchiha Yue couldn't help but feel a bit smug; at the very least, he felt his talent for Medical Ninjutsu had already surpassed that of Haruno Sakura.
Who would have thought that upon seeing the smile on Uchiha Yue's face, Tsunade's expression would sink instantly, leaving Uchiha Yue feeling flustered and wondering what he had done wrong.
Then, Tsunade walked straight over to a pile of ninjutsu scrolls, pulled out a few, and laid them before Uchiha Yue. Furthermore, after Tsunade broke the seal on one of the scrolls, she pointed to the dead fish sealed within and said, "This fish has been dead for six hours. Now, use your Medical Ninjutsu to revive it. Remember, this fish must be revived within three minutes, or even I won't be able to save it."
"Yes!"
Facing this new challenge, Uchiha Yue showed no signs of timidity. Without even waiting to recover the chakra in his body, he began to heal the dead fish placed before him.
Sure enough, just as Tsunade had said, the moment Uchiha Yue condensed his Medical Ninjutsu chakra in his hands, he could feel that the life force within the dead fish was already fading. Moreover, the lingering trace of life force gave Uchiha Yue exactly three minutes of treatment time; even if he exceeded it by a single second, the fish's life would be beyond human salvation.
As he focused his Medical Ninjutsu chakra over the fish, Uchiha Yue's expression grew even more solemn than before. Tsunade, however, maintained an indifferent attitude, merely observing Uchiha Yue's control over his Medical Ninjutsu. Fortunately, Uchiha Yue possessed extremely strong mental energy, and his training in the Rasengan had granted him exceptional chakra control.
Three minutes passed, and the dead fish was once again revived by Uchiha Yue.
However, just as Uchiha Yue expected Tsunade to offer a few words of praise, she silently broke the seal on another ninjutsu scroll and pushed it toward him.
"This fish has been dead for a full ten hours. You must revive it within one minute. Continue."
Hearing Tsunade's commanding tone, Uchiha Yue knew he couldn't afford to show the slightest hesitation, or else Tsunade's iron fist would be waiting for him. Facing Tsunade's tyrannical supervision style, it would be impossible for Uchiha Yue not to feel a shred of resentment. Alas, Tsunade's fist was much harder than his own, so he had no choice but to obediently follow her orders and continue using his Medical Ninjutsu.
And so, under Tsunade's supervision, Uchiha Yue had almost no time to rest, spending the entire time healing the dead fish sealed within the scrolls.
Aside from giving Uchiha Yue time to recover his chakra, Tsunade kept a strict watch over him the rest of the time. Whenever Uchiha Yue showed the slightest sign of fatigue, Tsunade would furrow her brows, causing Uchiha Yue to quickly adjust his state for fear of angering her. Furthermore, whenever Uchiha Yue made even the slightest error in controlling his chakra, Tsunade's finger would land lightly on the top of his head.
Do not think that Tsunade was offering kind comfort; that was the harshest punishment for Uchiha Yue!
Whenever Uchiha Yue's chakra control became even slightly unstable, the force of Tsunade's finger on his head was far greater than the force he used to throw a kunai. Fortunately, Tsunade was able to control her physical strength with ease, punishing him in a way that made him feel pain without actually causing an injury.
Otherwise, Uchiha Yue estimated that he would have returned home covered in bruises after just one day of training with her.
"Huff... huff..."
"Lady Tsunade, I succeeded!"
Breathing heavily, Uchiha Yue had lost count of how many times he had exhausted his chakra and recovered it here.
The scrolls piled up before Uchiha Yue were now as high as a mountain, which showed just how many dead fish he had treated in a single day. Yet, looking at the panting Uchiha Yue, Tsunade still showed no sign of praise, merely nodding slightly to signal that he could go home and rest.
On the way home, Uchiha Yue had almost no energy to think. Dragging his exhausted body, he barely managed to reach his house, nearly collapsing at the entrance. His mother, Minako, seeing him in such a disheveled state after his first day of training, couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache. Thus, it was only after comforting his mother that Uchiha Yue finally had time to return to his room to rest.
However...
When Uchiha Yue finally recovered his strength and prepared to continue his daily training in his room, he recalled Tsunade's attitude from earlier and suddenly frowned.
Where... exactly did I go wrong?
It seems that ever since I finished the first stage of training, Tsunade has kept a sullen face.
Could it be... that I made some mistake while practicing Medical Ninjutsu?
With such confusion in his mind, Uchiha Yue thought that Tsunade was indeed a difficult person to please, and then he began his own planned training routine.
At the same time, in a tavern, Tsunade picked up the wine cup before her and downed a glass of strong liquor.
Jiraiya, sitting across from her, couldn't help but furrow his brows slightly as he saw this. "Tsunade, haven't you been teaching that Uchiha brat all day? Could it be... that the brat's talent is poor, and it's put you in a bad mood?"
"Poor talent?"
Hearing Jiraiya's words, a playful smile suddenly tugged at the corners of Tsunade's mouth. "Jiraiya, what makes you think my Yue has poor talent? Have you ever witnessed his aptitude?"
As she spoke, Tsunade recalled the scene of Uchiha Yue's training today and sighed with emotion. "Jiraiya, do you know how shocked I was today? I always thought my talent for Medical Ninjutsu was the best, but today, while teaching Yue, I realized that my own talent for it is absolute trash!"
"In one day, it only took one day! That brat Uchiha Yue completed the training that took me an entire year to master!"
"Can you imagine it? Can you imagine how shocked I was at the time? Can you imagine how distressed I felt?"
Speaking to this point, a look of genuine frustration appeared on Tsunade's face. She rubbed her long golden hair and said bitterly, "I estimate that in less than three years, I won't be able to teach Yue anything about Medical Ninjutsu anymore. By then, his Medical Ninjutsu might even be stronger than mine, and he'll only be seven years old!"
"To possess such terrifying talent at four years old, how is a teacher like me supposed to live?"
"When I truly have nothing left to teach Yue, wouldn't that be incredibly embarrassing for me?"
