Medical Ninjutsu (2)

A ninja who made a name for himself in the shinobi world didn't necessarily have a gift for teaching.

Take Minato Namikaze and Hatake Kakashi from the original story. Both were formidable shinobi, yet their students didn't exactly turn out well. Right now, Uchiha Yue had the same impression of Tsunade. He acknowledged that she was incredibly strong, but her teaching skills were only average.

When teaching Uchiha Yue, Tsunade simply laid out everything she had figured out herself. How much he understood was up to his own ability to learn. Fortunately, Uchiha Yue had exceptionally strong mental energy and had inherited the excellent habit of taking notes. Otherwise, Tsunade's information-dump style of teaching might really have ruined him.

Tsunade was clearly very pleased with Uchiha Yue's attitude toward learning. At the very least, she praised him when he pulled out his notes and began writing things down. For that reason, very few people in the shinobi world could truly master the essence of Medical Ninjutsu.

Uchiha Yue had tremendous mental energy and had been honing his chakra control all along, so he was fully qualified to learn Medical Ninjutsu. Seeing how well her student had grasped the theory, Tsunade unsealed a scroll.

As the sealing scroll opened, it revealed a fish that had stopped breathing three hours earlier. It was the subject Uchiha Yue would be experimenting on next.

"Yue, use the method I taught you to bring this fish back to life."

Tsunade placed the fish that had been dead for three hours in front of Uchiha Yue, folded her arms across her chest, and gave him a direct order.

Seeing that Tsunade wanted him to try it himself, Uchiha Yue nodded. He gathered chakra between his hands, and a dark green light began to shimmer there. His chakra had been converted into the form used for Medical Ninjutsu.

Seeing Uchiha Yue successfully convert his chakra on the first try, Tsunade gave a satisfied nod.

But Uchiha Yue knitted his brows slightly. Then he looked over at Tsunade and said, "Sensei, I have a question."

"Go ahead," Tsunade said with a nod.

"Mm."

Uchiha Yue paused briefly to gather his thoughts, then said, "Sensei, I followed your method for converting chakra, and I can now successfully change the chakra in my body into the form used for Medical Ninjutsu. But I've noticed that Medical Ninjutsu chakra seems a little similar to the Body Energy in a person's body. Could there be some connection between them?"

"Heh. You really are talented. You've already discovered the secret behind Medical Ninjutsu?"

Hearing Uchiha Yue's question, Tsunade smiled with satisfaction. "That's right. Medical Ninjutsu chakra really is very similar to the Body Energy inside a person. Body Energy transformed through Medical Ninjutsu, on the other hand, can actively heal injuries and remove toxins. That's what we call Medical Ninjutsu chakra."

As she spoke, Tsunade walked over and gave Uchiha Yue a light pat on the shoulder. She continued, "I'm glad you asked that question, Yue. I knew I was right about you. You really are talented at learning Medical Ninjutsu. The fact that you created a technique like the Rasengan proves that your talent for techniques and your chakra control are both far beyond the ordinary.
