Looking at Shikaku Nara's exhausted face, Uchiha Yue could not help but feel a pang of sorrow.
During the time Uchiha Yue had been away from the Land of Water front lines, Shikaku Nara had been the only one managing all the affairs of Konoha's camp. Whenever there was even the slightest movement from Kirigakure, Shikaku Nara likely had to remain tense for a long while. Under such circumstances, it was impossible for him to have any time to rest. So while the Uchiha Clan elite troops in Konoha's camp had rested quite well, Shikaku Nara had not had a proper night's sleep for several whole months.
What made Uchiha Yue feel fortunate was that he had intimidated Kirigakure's ninja back then, preventing their forces from attacking Konoha's camp again. Otherwise, Shikaku Nara would likely have been even more exhausted than he was now. Fortunately, Uchiha Yue and Minato Namikaze's reinforcements had finally arrived, and Shikaku Nara finally had some time to rest properly. Thus, rather than discussing strategy against Kirigakure with Shikaku Nara, Uchiha Yue told him to get some good rest.
As for Shikaku Nara, the moment Uchiha Yue finished speaking, he did not offer the slightest refusal. Clearly, even Shikaku Nara knew that he had truly reached his limit.
