The Troublesome Land of Demons

After Nawaki led an army of 150,000 to occupy the Land of Birds, he did not press the advantage and invade the Land of Demons. Instead, he stationed his forces along the border between the two nations and halted his advance.

The terrain of the Land of Demons was completely different from that of the Land of Birds. Located on the western edge of the continent, it had roughly equal depth from east to west and north to south, giving it an oval shape. Its area surpassed that of most small and medium-sized nations; it was even larger than the Land of Rain and the Land of Grass combined. If the surrounding islands were excluded, even the Land of Water's main island was smaller.

More importantly, the Land of Demons was a mysterious nation with a priestess. Many monsters were sealed within the country, and the priestess could seal those monsters. She also possessed the ability to foresee the life and death of others.

The leader of the monsters in the Land of Demons was called Moryo. A human named Yomi could use his power to create immortal shinobi and an undead army resembling terracotta warriors. Moryo was a monster similar to a Tailed Beast; ordinary means could not kill him at all, and only a priestess could seal such a monster.

Moryo's body and soul had now been sealed in separate locations. His soul was sealed within an underground palace in the Land of Demons, while his body was sealed inside a volcanic cave in the desolate Land of Marshes.

The current priestess of the Land of Demons was named Miroku. She was the one who had sealed Moryo. Even now, the remnants led by the shinobi called Yomi could still use Moryo's power, and they had always wanted
