Kakashi, Sasuke, and the others were startled as well. Anko and Sasuke used the Body Flicker Technique to reach Naruto's side and support him, asking anxiously, "Naruto, are you all right? Don't scare me like this." No sooner had Anko spoken than tears spilled down her cheeks.
Seeing Anko crying with worry, Naruto's lingering resentment over her ignoring him earlier vanished. He managed a strained smile and gently wiped away her tears. "I'm fine, Anko. With you caring about me this much, how could I not be? Don't worry. I'll deal with him soon. Could you wait over by Kakashi-sensei for now?"
Anko asked worriedly, "Are you really all right?"
Naruto smiled. "Don't worry. A little wound like this won't kill me. Go on, head over to Kakashi-sensei. Don't make me worry about you too, okay?"
Anko knew that if even Naruto couldn't handle this, she would only get in the way. Reluctant though she was, she nodded. "I understand. Promise me you'll be all right, okay?"
