Seeing Thanatos take a direct hit from Kakashi's Kamui, Sakura jumped for joy and laughed. "That's amazing, Kakashi-sensei! We won! This is great! I never imagined your Kamui was so powerful. You killed him in one shot!"
Sai said happily, "Yes, Kakashi-sensei really is incredible."
Even Tayuya, who had little fondness for Kakashi, said coolly, "Hmph. Anyone who teaches Lord Sasuke needs at least that much strength. You're annoying, but I have to admit you've got some skill."
Sakura and the others had never expected Kakashi's Kamui to actually kill Thanatos. The enormous, sudden surprise made them drop their guard. Only Kakashi and Anko remained clearheaded, still watching Thanatos warily after Kamui had torn him into several pieces.
Yet after watching for a while, Kakashi still found nothing wrong. He couldn't help thinking, Did that really finish him? No, that can't be right. According to the Nine-Tails, this guy is absurdly powerful. How could Kamui kill him so easily? Doubts filled his mind. Although Kakashi had great confidence in Kamui's power, he still felt that something was off.
At that moment, the Nine-Tails clone inside Kakashi warned him, "Don't get careless, Kakashi. This guy shouldn't be that easy to deal with. Stay cautious."
Kakashi nodded and replied, "I understand. I thought that was a little too easy, too. Something isn't right."
The Nine-Tails clone said, "It's better to be careful, anyway. That Uchiha Clan kid and my original are absorbing the natural chakra around them. Let's wait until they finish before doing anything else. For now, we should be patient. At the very least, don't let anyone approach his body."
Kakashi also thought it best to remain cautious, so he nodded. "Understood." With that, he left the Mental Space and turned to find Anko watching Thanatos's body warily as well.
