At Christina's words, Princess Tamahime froze again. Clearly, Christina had no intention of occupying the Shinobi World anymore. What she had said earlier had merely been a way to make a fool of her. Furious though she was, Princess Tamahime forced her anger down. She knew very well how terrifying the Demon Race's eldest princess was. Her own strength was a joke before Christina, not even enough to earn a serious glance.

Princess Tamahime nodded and bowed again. "I understand. I will convey your wishes to my father in full, Your Highness. Please rest assured."

Hearing her answer, Christina gave her another look and dropped her earlier haughty manner. "You interest me. If I still had the time, I wouldn't mind having a proper conversation with you."

"I admire you greatly as well, Your Highness," Princess Tamahime replied. "If we truly had the time, I would be happy to speak with you at length."

Princess Tamahime remained neither servile nor overbearing. Despite the immense gulf between them, they got along surprisingly well. Perhaps her bearing had truly earned Christina's appreciation.

Christina turned to the other woman. "Have you come to see me too? And who sent you?"

The veiled Princess Yukihime bowed, then smiled. "There is no longer anything I need to ask. Your Highness has already given the answer, so why ask again? As for who sent me, no one did. I represent only myself. Compared with my younger sister Tamahime, I am far more pitiful. I have only myself to rely on."

She wore a veil, but how could a mere veil block Christina's demonic eyes? Besides, when attacking the Shinobi World, Christina had read the general intelligence on its various nations, including a description of Princess Yukihime. Yet that intelligence differed greatly from what she saw now.
