Naruto and Sasuke followed Vilis to Sun City, where Wisdom Academy stood. Located at the center of the Three Great Empires and the Land of Chaos, the city sat at the junction between their territories. Sun City belonged to no kingdom or duchy, which was why it was also known as Free City. Its guards were organized by Wisdom Academy's instructors and students themselves. In a sense, Free City belonged to Wisdom Academy.
After following Vilis into Free City, Naruto and Sasuke looked around curiously. Shops of every kind lined the streets, and happy smiles filled the faces of the people. The sounds of customers haggling with shopkeepers drifted out now and then, mingling with the clang of hammers from the forges. Academy patrols passed by from time to time.
Naruto stepped into a forge out of curiosity. A middle-aged dwarf was hammering away at a piece of glowing red iron. Even when he noticed customers enter, he did not stop. He merely said, "Look around for whatever you want. Sean, where the hell have you gone? Customers are here, and you haven't even greeted them! Do you still want your wages this month?"
At the dwarf's words, a boy hurried out from the back of the shop. "Sorry, Mr. Kaijin! I was organizing things in the storeroom and didn't notice anyone out front. Hello, welcome to Kaijin's Forge. I'm Sean, the apprentice here. What can I get for you?"
"I need a scabbard," Naruto said. "And I'd like you to service my weapon."
"I need a scabbard too," Sasuke added.
Naruto's request puzzled Sean. Most customers came to the forge to buy weapons; this was the first time he had heard someone ask for a scabbard. Looking troubled, Sean glanced at Kaijin, who was still working at the anvil.
