"Training in another world? Are we going to the world Lee's in?" Guy asked excitedly.
Although Lee had only been gone for a few days, Guy felt as though time had lost its meaning without his student around. Now that Kakashi had said he would take him to another world to train, Guy immediately assumed they were going to Lee's world.
But Kakashi shook his head, dashing Guy's hopes. "No, we're going to a different world, one that's a little more advanced than the world Lee and the others went to. It'll help us get stronger as quickly as possible. If our students keep improving while we teachers stay stuck where we are, that would be pretty embarrassing."
"Oh, I see. So we're not going to Lee's world," Guy said disappointedly. "All right, I'll go too. Even if Lee isn't there, getting stronger is still a good thing." Although they weren't going to Lee's world, Guy agreed since he could improve his strength.
Seeing Guy's lack of enthusiasm, Kakashi asked curiously, "What's wrong, Guy? This isn't like you."
"Nothing. I'm just not used to suddenly having none of my students around," Guy replied. "I'll be fine once I've had a few days to adjust."
Then Obito said, "Guy, if you keep moping around like this, your students might surpass you. That wouldn't look good. You should show some enthusiasm. I remember how optimistic you used to be, fired up every single day. How did you end up like this? If you keep this up, I'll want to cry over getting beaten by you when we fought as kids."
Guy looked at Obito curiously. He only knew that Kakashi had brought this man along. From what he had just said, they apparently knew each other, but Guy still couldn't recognize him.
