Shikamaru and Obito Uchiha looked a little awkward. Hinata, on the other hand, seemed to think it was no big deal. She smiled and said, "Shikamaru, what made you decide to attack this country? Don't give me anything about its geographical location. I don't want to hear that. I just want to know why you chose this world. Your real reason."
After saying that, Hinata fixed her White Eyes on Shikamaru. He immediately felt as though something terrifying had locked onto him, making his skin crawl. He had seen those eyes ever since they were children and had never thought much of them, but now he felt as though a demon were staring him down.
Shikamaru coughed, trying to cover his unease, but found that it did nothing. Under the gaze of those White Eyes, he felt completely transparent.
With no other choice, Shikamaru gave a bitter smile. "There's no particular reason. It's just that this country is an assassin organization. Most of its people are assassins who make their living by killing. If they haven't killed a million people, they've certainly killed hundreds of thousands. I've already investigated it. Most assassination jobs around the world each year are carried out by this country. They don't care about right or wrong, either. As long as it's an assassination job, they'll take it, so countless good people have died at their hands. They're ruthless enough to kill even babies in swaddling clothes. Since we're going to establish a country in this world anyway, why not target one that's utterly evil?"
After hearing that, Hinata turned calmly and said, "In that case, let's make our move tomorrow. I'm heading downstairs. Don't stay up talking too long." Without waiting for either of them, she went downstairs on her own.
