After a moment of silence, the Elder snapped back to attention. "Change of plans! All Elf Guard members, hold your posts. Not a single monster is to escape the Sacred Land. Kill every monster that tries to leave. Do you understand?"
The Elf Guards seemed to have found their anchor again. At the Elder's command, every elf sprang into action, sealing off every route the monsters might use to escape the Sacred Land. Fighting spirit surged from them all.
Their fighting spirit soared into the sky. This was a skill unique to armies, a union of fighting spirit and conviction. Combined with their battle formation, the power it unleashed increased exponentially.
