Naruto stared at the lake in surprise. Noticing the change in his expression, Ao Ling asked, "What is it? Did you find something?"
Naruto swallowed. "Demon Wolves. This lake is full of Demon Wolves."
Ao Ling glanced at the calm surface in confusion. "Demon Wolves? Why can't I see them?"
Sasuke activated his Rinnegan out of curiosity and looked toward the lake. One look was all it took to shock him. Although the Rinnegan's penetrating vision wasn't as absurdly powerful as the White Eye's, it had evolved from the White Eye, after all, so its ability to see through things was still impressive.
Through Sasuke's Rinnegan, irregular spatial ripples filled the lakebed. An enormous, rather unstable parallel space lay beneath the lake, and Demon Wolves were everywhere inside it. Because the space was unstable, the wolves couldn't leave. The moment they charged out of that parallel world, the unstable space would teleport them back or send them to another spatial exit.
That wasn't absolute, however. Some Demon Wolves still managed to break out of the parallel space and appear on the lakebed, but almost immediately, they seemed to encounter something terrifying and hurriedly retreated.
After recovering from his shock, Naruto glanced at Sasuke. They nodded at each other, and Naruto said, "There's a parallel space beneath this lake, and it's full of Demon Wolves. Their strength varies wildly. Some are as high as the ninth rank, while others are only first rank. But one thing's certain: these Demon Wolves must be the culprits behind the chaos in the Great Zhou Empire's border regions."
Naruto described what he had seen, while Sasuke formed hand seals. "Rinnegan Vision-Sharing Jutsu." He then touched Ao Ling and the others. Their eyes immediately transformed into Rinnegan, linking their vision so that everything Sasuke saw appeared
