The dark clouds of the night sky parted from the center toward all sides, revealing the second meteor right on cue. Drawn by gravity, it slowly crashed toward the first.

The shockwave produced by the meteors' collision spread outward from the heavens. Wherever it passed, clouds scattered and the earth trembled.
