Background

Wu Changkong and Leng Xue'er were contemporaries at Shrek Academy. They entered the Outer Court in different grades but were admitted to the Inner Court at the same time. Their interaction remained limited after entering the Inner Court, largely due to their reserved personalities. He later left Shrek Academy; Leng Xue'er subsequently heard that Long Bing was connected to his departure. 8

He became the homeroom teacher of Eastsea Academy's Grade 1 Class 5, where Leng Xue'er served as deputy homeroom teacher. Initially wary of her presence and Cheng Duoyi's unusual background, Wu nonetheless agreed to let her handle Cheng Duoyi's personal affairs without interfering with his teaching. 8 13

He initially applies Shrek Academy's teaching philosophy rigidly, criticizing Gu Yue and Tang Wuling despite their accomplishments and threatening Cheng Duoyi with expulsion after their disagreement. 16 28 29
