Background & History

Xiao Wu is a hundred-thousand-year soul beast living in human form. Da Ming, the Sky Azure Bull Python, and Er Ming, the Titan Giant Ape, are her longtime companions and protectors from the Star Dou Forest. She joins Tang San and the Shrek group in the human world, where she initially places complete trust in Tang San. 91 114

After Lin Qiu releases a trace of Er Ming's aura in Nuoding City, Xiao Wu follows it into a secluded alley. Lin Qiu identifies her true species, prevents her from teleporting away with a field-locking method, and reveals that Er Ming's remaining soul is attached to him. He then alleges that Tang Hao and Tang San covet the soul rings of transformed soul beasts, leaving Xiao Wu terrified and uncertain of Tang San's motives. 91 92

Her doubts worsen during the tournament at Martial Soul City. When Xiao Wu asks to withdraw because she fears exposure, the Shrek group pressures her to remain; Tang San prioritizes the tournament, Shrek's ideals, and Yu Xiaogang's theories over leaving with her. 110 Lin Qiu publicly exposes that Tang San had recognized her soul-beast identity through his Purple Demon Eye.
