Kiyoko was raised in the White Room, where her sparse speech and outwardly emotionless demeanor were already established. Amasawa Reigetsu calls her the White Room’s “greatest masterpiece” and remembers her as the only person unaffected by his Induction. Before his near-expulsion, she repeatedly summoned him to her room, silently watched him, and let him leave. 1

Sakayanagi Arisu encountered Kiyoko in the White Room through a chess match. Intrigued by Kiyoko’s strength, Sakayanagi sought to challenge her, only for Kiyoko to end the game with “Checkmate.” 3

After entering Advanced Nurturing High School’s Class 1-D, Kiyoko reunites with Reigetsu on a bus and asks him to use Induction on her. Their shared history is complicated by her prior decision to leave his side, which she attributes to his perverted tendencies. 1 2

Personality

Kiyoko begins as detached, literal-minded, and unfamiliar with ordinary emotional behavior. Despite being able to solve difficult mathematics, she struggles to understand how to make friends and initially counts only Kushida Kikyo and Horikita Suzune as possible friends. 11

Her attachment to Reigetsu develops into intense devotion. She calls him “Master,” describes herself as his loyal dog, and becomes openly jealous and possessive when Sakayanagi Arisu competes for his attention. 5 20 23 24
