Background / History

Suzune entered Advanced Nurturing High School determined to catch up to her older brother, Horikita Manabu. Her placement in Class D and the class's zero-point first month became a major source of conflict between them. 13 14

When Amasawa Reigetsu visited Class D, Suzune was introduced as Ayanokoji Kiyoko's friend. After Sudo Ken attacked Amasawa, Amasawa exploited Suzune's connection to Manabu and pressured her into apologizing to protect Sudo from possible expulsion. 11

Suzune later confronted Manabu on campus, insisting that she had grown and would eventually reach his level. Manabu physically restrained her, denounced Class D, and attempted to strike her before Amasawa intervened; Kiyoko recorded the incident. 14 Suzune rejected Amasawa's interference as an intrusion into a private matter, but Manabu ultimately paid Amasawa for the recording and agreed to install him as Student Council Vice President.
