Running Away
The Brilliant Dream of the Spirit Realm is composed of numerous dreams, forming a sphere in shape, with small dots representing the dreams distributed within the sphere.
At the center of the sphere is a magnificent palace.
The entire palace has no roof, and even long stretches of walls are rare; most of the buildings consist of pillars made of milky-white stone, arranged neatly within the palace complex.
Each pillar has its own unique pattern; some depict a soldier in battle, while others show a troll worshipping a Deity...
In the center of the palace complex, there was a small open space covered with what looked like a carpet made of feathers, and a silver-gray dragon was lying on the carpet.
It lay curled up, motionless, seemingly asleep. Its claws were rather narrow, and there were no signs of a battle on its body.
She is Felicity, the lord of the Brilliant Dream, whose favorite thing to do is to dream here.
But today it may not be able to enjoy its hobby so much.
A black, angular, diamond-shaped stone leaped from the sky and struck Felicity directly on the head, but this did not awaken it; the dragon remained motionless.
The stone rolled to the ground, then stood up with a sharp sound.
"Felicity, get up!!"
The sound waves surged so powerfully that even the pillars not far away swayed.
"Huh?!?" Felicity slowly woke up, her dragon eyes half-open, seemingly still savoring the beautiful dream she had just had.
It glanced around briefly, then looked down and saw a black, rhomboid stone standing on the ground.
"It's you? What do you need?"
It recognized the stone; it was the tool it used to communicate with a Deity far away in the Astral Realm. It remembered that the other party was, strictly speaking, also Dragon Clan, and had even helped it create two dreams, so it was fairly familiar with the deity.
It remembered the other party's name was something like Back-Head Dragon God, which sounded strange, and seemed to represent the boundary and space between humans and Dragon Clan...
The black, rhomboid stone didn't make a sound immediately, but instead shook twice, emitting a sound tinged with a slight smile.
"I want to manually restart the second dream realm under my jurisdiction."
Felicity was somewhat surprised to hear this. She reached up with her dragon claw, scratched her head, and continued:
"Manual restart? I don't remember... didn't you reject my suggestion last time?"
"Last time you complained that the restart cost was too high. Although it could kill that resurrected Dragon Clan, it was just too expensive."
"I remember you said it would be more cost-effective to wait until the other party leaves the dream before sending your men to hunt them down, and simply let the Spirit Realm restart automatically."
"What? You've changed your mind? Was it that dragon that desecrated your Divine Statue?!"
Another laughing voice came from inside the rhombus-shaped stone, this time the laughter was noticeably stronger.
"It wasn't that dragon. That dragon's corpse is probably incomplete by now..."
"It's one of us... Of course, I'm not referring to the Dragon Clan."
"He happened to get an opportunity that only a small percentage of us could find."
"This opportunity will cost me some money, but I'm not the petty kind of dragon..."
"If my colleague is willing to talk to me and promise to make it up to me later, I wouldn't mind letting him seize this hard-won opportunity."
The sound paused, then returned with a somber tone from the rhomboid stone.
"As you can see, I came to you because my colleagues weren't satisfied with the price I offered Him."
"That's why I've come to you, to teach my comrade a lesson: never underestimate a dragon."
"I remember, it takes three days for the Brilliant Dream to record a new point, right...?"
"I've paid for the materials needed for a manual restart, now do it for me."
Felicity's dragon tail swayed slightly. After listening to the story, she, also Dragon Clan, empathized and said:
"Yes, let Him know not to underestimate a dragon..."
Felicity knew that it had now been drawn into a struggle between two Astral Realm beings, but it didn't care.
If it had just become the lord of the Spirit Realm, it might have been afraid and immediately hid in its dream upon hearing this.
Although it acknowledges the existence of the Astral Realm, calling it a god is no exaggeration; its power far surpasses that of these Spirit Realm lords, and in a real fight, it might be instantly defeated.
But now it understands that these gods are nothing; with the barrier of the Spirit Realm in place, those gods could never have any influence on it, the lord of the Spirit Realm.
No matter what kind of Divine Power it possesses, it is impossible to inflict any wounds on it, because it is the lord of a large area of the Spirit Realm, equivalent to a small part of the Spirit Realm.
Felicity invoked the authority of the Spirit Realm lord, and many points of light appeared before her.
"I'll take the items from the Spirit Crystal you received during your ten years in the dream, is that alright?"
"Yes, that makes sense."
Spirit Crystal are a high-level resource produced by various Block in the Spirit Realm, and the profits are sent to the local lords.
Using the authority of the Spirit Realm requires consuming some of these Spirit Crystal; besides that, these things have other functions...
Felicity didn't waste any words, directly clicking on a point of light with her claw and then starting to manipulate it using the Spirit Crystal.
"Um?!!"
Felicity lowered her head, looked at the prismatic stone on the ground, and said:
"What do you mean, 'restart the Spirit Realm Trial '? How can our lord's authority affect matters of the Spirit Realm?!"
The prismatic stone explained:
"They seem a bit slow, but they should be here soon. Just wait a little longer, there's no rush."
At this moment, the Back-Head Dragon God inside the prismatic stone fell into thought, something that was not quite what it had imagined.
It clearly sensed the power of the Lord of Radiance descending upon the Spirit Realm; it should have been able to blast the dragon to smithereens the moment Quentin appeared, so why was it taking so long?
Didn't He give all His power to that human? Wasn't that human His chosen Proxy? What did He do with all His extra power...?
"The Spirit Realm Trial is over, you can proceed now."
Felicity noticed the changes within the realm, spoke up, and then continued to tap the point of light with her dragon claw.
But then something unexpected happened: the point of light burst into a burst of intense light and then vanished.
Felicity held up the dragon claw and poked at the air several times before she was truly certain that the point of light had disappeared, which also meant...
"My dream!!!"
Felicity jumped up from the ground and roared.
The disappearance of the light spot signifies that the dream has directly escaped its control.
The rhombus-shaped stone stood there, seemingly lost in thought.
It hadn't expected that the other party had anticipated this, and after gaining control of the dream, they simply took the dream away.
Divine Power has many wonderful uses; using it directly for attack is only the most basic of its uses, and He can do just that.
But isn't He afraid that the human still undergoing the Trial will fail?
It's important to understand that simply removing that dream required more than half of the Divine Power, and after converting that Divine Power into energy that mortals could use, almost nothing remained.
A sigh came from within the stone, but that was the truth; the other party...
"(Dragon Clan curse), it's all because of you."
Seeing that the prismatic stone was still standing on the ground, Felicity vented her dissatisfaction with a single dragon tail strike, sending the stone crashing into a pillar and leaving only tiny black fragments.
