Information Obtained Through Prophecy
After Fran and the Alliance members reached an agreement, and after settling Una in briefly, Fran left the ' Ancient ' Realm.
Now that Una has become the lord of this place, Fran has no reason to stay here any longer.
Although it might be somewhat dangerous for Una personally, she must take some risks in order to enjoy the benefits.
Moreover, the Lord of Radiance is watching over them, and Una is also one of His followers. Furthermore, Una may soon become a Second Order Profession User. Under these circumstances, the Lord of Radiance certainly won't leave them to their own devices.
Even if the Alliance were to take action, Fran wouldn't have a good countermeasure; in the end, she would still have to rely on the Lord of Radiance.
Furthermore, Fran had a very busy mission in the Material Realm, and she didn't have time to waste here, so Fran returned directly to the Material Realm.
A few hours after Fran left, the Alliance's application to enter the ' Ancient Domain ' reached Una.
Una was a little nervous, her small hands constantly clutching her clothes. She took a deep breath and carefully checked the Alliance's application. Only after confirming that it did not violate the original contract did she agree to the application.
The moment she agreed, a dozen or so figures in robes appeared within the area designated by the Alliance.
They all wore long black robes with an irregular star pattern on their chests, which was the symbol of the Astrology School.
Even Tristan changed into a robe so as not to draw too much attention here at this moment.
Tristan glanced at the crowd around him, nervously swallowing. Ophelia wasn't there, because what was about to happen didn't need to be known by too many people.
Apart from him, everyone on the Battlefield was a third-tier or higher mage, and only these people were qualified to know the information left behind by the Fifth Order Legendary of the Astrology School.
Ophelia, being only First Order- Order NPC, is not qualified to know this.
Although Tristan was Proxy of the Star-Engraved Turtle, he was not the one in charge of this matter. He only got the opportunity because Charles insisted on having him come along.
"Why are we here? Couldn't we have been seated in the Divine Temple of those three Deity? There would at least be places to sit there... Why are we here?"
One of the mages in the group frowned upon seeing this scene and complained slightly.
Tristan lowered his head, and just as he was slowly organizing his thoughts, his mentor Charles spoke.
"This is just in case. As you know, that Lord of Radiance is somewhat special among the Deity. We cannot guarantee that He will not take any action after exploring this realm."
Charles's words elicited a sneer from the monk who had previously complained.
"Ha... I suspect that the Lord of Radiance already knew what we were looking for, and He tacitly approved of us finding it."
"Because we gave Him the basic necessities He needs most right now, and if we can get them, it will be extremely beneficial to Him as well."
Charles frowned and spoke sternly:
"You can shut up now..."
A silence fell over the room, which was then broken by Charles himself.
"Everyone, remember this: the code of our Astrology School is... caution."
Charles emphasized his words, while the others stared at Charles coldly.
"Forget your other thoughts. If each of us comes forward and makes one prophecy, that will be enough for us to piece together what the Legendary is pointing to."
"I don't need to emphasize anything else. Once we've finished our prophecy, we'll leave this realm and not worry about the rest... I shouldn't need to repeat that, right?"
Charles remained silent, but he did not stop talking.
"We must be cautious when facing the Lord of Radiance. Choosing this place can be said to be my instruction. What we need now is for the Lord of Radiance's Proxy to agree readily and directly."
"Whatever you've found in some ancient text, our only task now is to continue the investigation along the path of prophecy and Legendary, that's all."
"Let's begin now... I'll start."
Charles looked around and slowly walked forward.
He didn't use any fancy tricks to increase credibility; he simply used a common spell required for a Formal Rank Astrology School mage— Prophecy Spell.
Charles had cast this spell countless times, so he should have been very confident. However, since arriving here, his intuition had been telling him that it would be difficult to get a satisfactory answer here in one go.
He cast his spells very quickly, and in a short while, he obtained a piece of information that was invaluable to the entire Astrology School.
"It's within the domain of the Deity corresponding to the Divine Statue on your left."
Charles looked to his left. Although it was quite far away, the High-Order Mage's amplification gave him a significant boost, allowing him to clearly see the Divine Statue on his left.
"Goddess of Ocean Currents".
Charles uttered the name softly, his expression unchanged, but his right hand was bringing two fingers together and rubbing them carefully, as if he were thinking about something.
"That's the Divine Temple of the Goddess of Ocean Currents. Logically speaking, there shouldn't be any Divine Statue of other Deity besides that large Divine Statue."
However, just in case, he immediately turned to Tristan and said:
"Contact the lord here immediately and demand that they open the area of Divine Temple of the Goddess of Ocean Currents. If they refuse, force your way in until we finish the prophecy."
"Yes."
Tristan accepted the task and kept it in mind.
"Next."
Charles returned to the group, while the mage at the very front stepped forward without any prior consultation.
"Prophecy is made based on the information I provide."
Charles only mentioned the name of the Goddess of Ocean Currents, without revealing the full details of the clues he had received; this was a common method they used to obtain more prophetic information.
"The area that the Divine Statue of the Goddess of Ocean Currents can see."
That was the information the person received, and it made everyone frown because it was meaningless.
The stars represented by the Goddess of Ocean Currents still hang in the Material Realm. In some places, people pray to the stars as if they were Divine Statue, which means that the entire continent is within the reach of the Divine Statue.
"Next."
A group of mages lined up and went forward, each giving their information. However, Charles then stopped them from continuing with the information they had received.
He suddenly realized that if they followed the normal process and gradually refined the prophecy, the results would likely be meaningless information like this.
What they were looking for was somewhat unexpected; this was the first time he had encountered such a situation, and he hadn't thought he would.
He originally thought that even the rarest things, under his leadership as a Fourth Order Mage, and by following the refined rules of prophecy, would be enough to predict many rare and powerful things.
He had only seen this situation, where even Fourth Order Mage couldn't use refined divination techniques, in the records of the Astrology School three times.
On two occasions, the information was so crucial that only the Chief could know it. The one time he was allowed to know, compared to the current situation, made him break out in a cold sweat.
"I didn't expect things to turn out this way. It seems I'll have to write this down when I get back."
This situation was somewhat unexpected for Charles. He thought it was an important matter, but only somewhat important; he didn't expect it to be this important.
"We need to report this to the Alliance when we get back; this matter cannot remain solely known to the Astrology School."
Charles recalled the records he had seen.
At that time, the Astrology School masters discovered that something would happen on the continent, but no matter how they prophesied, they could not obtain any key information, only some extremely vague information.
The situation then was similar to the present; the Astrology School Legendary mage was still alive, and he was extremely interested in this matter, but he also failed to obtain any useful information.
Thus, the matter was left unresolved within the Astrology School, but the Legendary left behind this sentence in the records.
"I don't believe a Legendary couldn't have predicted this."
Then the Legendary locked himself in the top floor of the Mage Tower, until an hour before the event occurred, when the Legendary appeared before the Mage Tower looking as if he had aged decades.
"Go to the capital of the Rodney Empire, quickly, and kill all the Elf there."
Unfortunately, the Alliance was embroiled in intense School infighting at the time, which meant that it only assembled sufficient strength after the fact, preventing the Alliance from preventing the disaster.
In the capital of Rod, the most powerful human empire at the time, a Fourth Order Elf used a forbidden method marked with a black line to instantly ascend to Legendary and gain some unimaginable power.
In Rod's capital alone, three Legendary perished on the spot, the capital was destroyed, and Rod disintegrated as a result.
In the ensuing catastrophe, two Legendary of the Alliance perished, and other factions on the continent also suffered heavy losses, an event known as the ' Calamity of the Blood Elves '.
This is why Elf are considered a symbol of disaster on the continent. However, despite the great calamity that befell the Alliance, no atmosphere of hatred towards Elf has formed within the Alliance.
The Alliance did not harbor any more hatred towards the Elf because of this; instead, it treated all other races equally, which puzzled Charles, who had witnessed this history.
However, he decided to put his doubts aside for the time being.
Among the two Legendary who died in the Alliance was the one Legendary predicted the event, who died a year later.
The Astrology School Legendary predicted that there was some kind of clue here was not the same person.
Charles realized that this could be something no less serious than the Calamity of the Blood Elves. He didn't know if it was for the best or for the worst, but in any case, he couldn't keep it a secret any longer.
