The Alliance's Pressure
As Fran finished her business and prepared to return to the Material Realm to continue her work, she suddenly heard the Lord of Radiance shout in her mind.
"Wait, don't rush back to the Material Realm. The Alliance is looking for you. Come quickly."
Fran was about to begin reciting the incantation when she was stopped by a message from the Lord of Radiance. She blinked and sighed.
"Okay, wait a moment, I'll be right there."
When Fran arrived at the Divine Temple in the Radiance Domain, she was very curious.
"No, you were in such a hurry just now, I thought the Alliance had already contacted me, why didn't you just teleport me there directly?"
When Fran heard that the Alliance was looking for her, she was neither impatient nor concerned, because she felt there was no room for cooperation regarding that realm.
Regarding the operations related to the boundary, Fran felt that Una could handle everything on her behalf, and Fran was confident that Una could manage such a simple matter well.
So even though she didn't know what the Alliance was up to, Fran wasn't too worried.
Fran was a little puzzled as to why the Lord of Radiance didn't teleport her directly there, but instead made her walk into the Divine Temple.
The Divine Statue of the Lord of Radiance's eyes shone with white light, which was direct evidence of the Lord of Radiance's existence here.
After the white light appeared, that familiar voice immediately followed.
"Wait a minute, I need to ask a question first."
"What's wrong?"
The Lord of Radiance ignored Fran's question and asked directly:
"When you went to that ' Ancient ' realm, did you do anything besides sending Una to become the Domain Lord?"
Fran thought for a moment, then shook her head.
"I didn't do anything... What happened?"
Fran also sensed something amiss in the Lord of Radiance's words. How could he ask such a question in a normal way? Something must have happened.
However, the Lord of Radiance seemed to have automatically ignored Fran's subsequent question and directly confirmed the previous statement:
"Are you sure you don't? This isn't the time to hide anything from me."
"I'm absolutely sure, and could you please tell me what exactly happened?!"
Fran emphasized the last sentence, and if the Lord of Radiance still ignored it, she wouldn't answer him.
The Lord of Radiance remained silent for a moment, the white light in the Divine Statue's eyes shining brightly without the slightest fluctuation. Then, the voice slowly spoke:
"You'd better really not have done anything..."
The voice paused for a moment, then continued:
"The problem is much bigger now. The Alliance has already surrounded the entire ' Ancient ' Realm... I'm already considering whether or not to abandon Una..."
Fran frowned, her right hand fingers twisting together as she asked:
"The Alliance has surrounded the entire ' Ancient ' realm. Have they given any reason? Did this siege begin suddenly, or was it already in place...?"
"They suddenly surrounded the entire realm. Half an hour ago, I was planning to warn you through that book, but then I discovered you were already in the Spirit Realm..."
"They only said, 'Please invite the Proxy of the Lord of Radiance to the Law Domain for further discussion.'"
"What is the Alliance trying to do?"
Fran's brow furrowed even more; she had absolutely no information and had no idea why the Alliance had taken this action.
After much deliberation, her first thought was: Should we give up on Una?
There was nothing that could be done. When making a deal with a behemoth like the Alliance, Fran had prepared herself mentally. The Alliance was simply too big, and the Lord of Radiance was currently too weak.
She believed that the Lord of Radiance could use Divine Power to dismantle the rules of the Spirit Realm, and could even help her confront the Third Order Mage at this time, but the one who came from the Alliance was definitely not Third Order Mage.
Seeing the Alliance's efforts to seal off the entire ' Ancient ' realm, Fran, although she had not studied the details about the realm in detail...
However, Fran knew that the Spirit Realm realm was not the same as the Material Realm. As long as the ground and underground were sealed off, it would be guaranteed that no one else could enter from the sky.
What truly determines whether a realm can be entered is the lord of that realm, just like Zali of the Sun Domain. The gods have struggled in the Spirit Realm for many years, but all the pressure has been borne by a mere Zali.
In most cases, no one else can enter a territory unless the lord of that territory agrees.
The Alliance's blockade is a different matter. In the absence of physical boundaries, the Alliance's blockade means that it is impossible to enter or leave.
They used some means to locate the ' Ancient ' realm in the Spirit Realm, and then used magic to seal off all the exits of the realm.
Anyone attempting to enter or leave will be blasted to smithereens by the Alliance's torrent of magic.
The Alliance's extreme actions clearly indicate that something has triggered the Alliance, which is why the Lord of Radiance questioned Fran about what she had done.
However, upon seeing Fran's tone and the confusion on her face, the Lord of Radiance was also puzzled. Although that item was indeed valuable, its usefulness had diminished with the changing times.
The Alliance took such extreme action for something like this.
It's important to understand that implementing such a blockade in the Spirit Realm requires consuming materials brought from the Material Realm by the Alliance every second, and the Alliance shows no signs of stopping.
"Then why don't we just ignore the Alliance altogether..."
To be honest, Fran was a little scared by the Alliance's actions. If something really happened, even Harbos probably wouldn't be able to protect her.
Moreover, this is the only thing Fran can do right now. Given the huge difference in strength, even going to the Law Domain, which is generally considered a relatively safe realm, is something Fran doesn't dare to do.
She had signed a contract with the Alliance, but they simply sealed off the territory.
According to the agreement Fran signed with the Alliance at the time, the Alliance was not allowed to take coercive measures against believers of the Lord of Radiance, which was something Fran specifically requested.
Clearly, by doing this, the Alliance is almost stepping on the edge of violating the contract. Whenever Una has the idea of heading to the exit of the realm, she will be slightly affected by the spell that seals her there.
After the All-Spirit Contract is triggered and verified, the Alliance will definitely be punished by the contract.
Although only a few First Order Mage signed the contract with Fran at the time, they used the Alliance's seal, and the contract was signed in the Law Domain, an area under the Alliance's control.
Fran also felt that the other party must have been instructed by High-Order Mage, which meant that the Astrology School at least knew about this matter.
Given the complex terms of the All-Spirit Contract, such a breach of contract might have some impact on the Alliance, but the breach of trust of the entire Astrology School alone would be enough to cause the other side a lot of trouble.
Just when Fran thought the matter was over, the Lord of Radiance suddenly spoke up.
"We have no choice but to respond; on the contrary, you must go to the Law Domain now."
"Why?"
"Because the Alliance is using all its strength to locate the Radiance Domain in the Spirit Realm, as I think you know, my Divine Power power can't hold for long, and..."
The Lord of Radiance then spoke:
"If you don't go, not only will the Radiant Sect be designated as dangerous elements by the Alliance and a bounty be placed on their head, but they will also track your mental fluctuations and physical information, and send a group of professional Astrology School mages to conduct divination and search for you..."
"I think that even if you change your appearance, you won't be able to escape the Alliance's pursuit..."
Fran was silent for a moment, her hands freezing in mid-air. She opened her mouth, hesitated for a second, and then said:
"Let's go now."
Fran encountered no obstacles on her way to the Law Domain, and the Law Domain she saw was exactly the same as the one she had seen before.
She appeared in the hallway outside the room where they had once spoken, separated from the place where they were now to talk by only a wall, and her gaze was fixed on the hallway.
The corridor was quiet, not a soul in sight. Through the windows on the side of the corridor, she could see that the square outside the building was still bustling with people, just as it always had been.
Fran took a deep breath, then pushed open the door and went inside.
Fran scanned the room; almost all the First Order Mage were gone, leaving only Tristan and Ophelia, the two mages she remembered most vividly.
The figure that had been sitting in the room had disappeared, replaced by two people she didn't recognize sitting next to Ophelia.
A hooded figure with brown eyes had been staring at Fran since she entered, and a small, undisguised pattern adorned his chest.
It was a pattern with an irregular top and multiple arcs at the bottom, with the words 'laws' written in the common language in the center.
This is the hallmark of the Law School.
The other unfamiliar person resembled an old man, with a face covered in wrinkles, thick hair in a mix of black and white, and sharp eyes. When Fran entered, he glanced at her briefly before looking away.
A pattern also appeared on his chest, this time from the Elemental School.
Fran found a chair and sat down, ignoring the two extra people in the room.
She knew she was in extreme danger; one wrong move and she could really die here.
So she took the initiative.
"What does this the Alliance mean? Is it a breach of our agreement?"
Fran leaned back in her chair, her gaze sweeping over everyone present once more.
Fran's attitude made the four people present almost lose their composure. The old man on the far right was alright, but his expression was slightly out of control.
Elijah rubbed his ears, and only when he saw Fran's seemingly unfazed appearance in the face of the Alliance's intimidation did he realize that he hadn't misheard.
Elijah was absolutely certain that the ' Ancient ' realm had already been surrounded by the Alliance; there was no doubt about it.
But seeing Fran's condition, he was somewhat confused. Could it be that the Alliance's Floating City was surrounded by the followers of the Lord of Radiance?
Or is it that the Radiant Sect has already infiltrated the entire the Alliance, and now a third of the apprentices encountered on the road are believers in the Lord of Radiance?
