Interpreting the Prophecy
"My Proxy, what's wrong?"
From Una's perspective, Fran remained silent for a while after casting the spell, during which time Fran did nothing.
Fran snapped out of her daze, glanced at Una first, and said:
"Nothing much, I just got some potentially useful information. Don't bother me for now... You can keep an eye on the mages who came with me, and let me know if they do anything out of line."
Una nodded, leaning further to the side against the wall.
Fran refocused her attention on the prophetic information she had just memorized and took a deep breath.
She remembered the last piece of information she had received.
"Let me use the Star Gazing Art."
Fran was unusually at a loss for what to do when faced with this choice.
Perhaps she knew that using Star Gazing Art would likely lead to a not-too-bad outcome, but she herself didn't want to gain more information from it.
Based on the information Fran had previously obtained, once she used the Star Gazing Art, the scene she saw would be propelled by a force that would shift the situation in the direction she perceived.
Just like the Blood Wolf Knights she was forced to kill, if she didn't use the Star Gazing Art to prophesy again, would she still encounter the Blood Wolf Knights and be forced to kill them?
Fran thought this was questionable.
After all, her obtaining that Territory Token was purely a matter of luck.
It just so happened that she became interested in a banquet hosted by the administrators of a small town.
If Fran hadn't just become a Formal Rank Profession, she wouldn't have been interested in such banquets. After arriving at the Northern Lands Society, she frequently received invitations to banquets from other mages.
After all, for a mage like her who had produced such significant results so soon after arriving at the Northern Lands Society, everyone would be eager to welcome her into the social circle of mages if she wanted to.
Even before the news of her winning the Silver Alchemy Award was released, numerous mages had already sent her invitations.
The Silver Alchemy Award is a highly prestigious award, even in the Floating City. Those who receive this award are considered among the most academically accomplished individuals in the Northern Lands Society.
Even so, Fran still refused almost all banquet invitations; she genuinely had no interest in such things.
Getting back to the main point, the fact that the administrator became jealous of the Skeleton Society mage by the roadside and wanted to use someone else to kill him is quite strange.
What a coincidence! Fran and the other party happened to pass through Gede Town together. And it just so happened that at that time, the administrator obtained the Territory Token, giving him the means to use someone else to do his dirty work.
Finally, the Territory Token ended up in Fran's hands by a twist of fate, but the Snow Wolf Knights had not encountered her before, and were instead guarding the Northern Territory Pass.
These few instances alone could be considered coincidences, leading Fran to suspect that there might be some hidden force behind them.
However, all of this can actually be explained by Fran's Star Gazing Art, and the explanation is quite perfect.
This made Fran more cautious about Star Gazing Art; she felt that if she continued to use Star Gazing Art on her.
Therefore, Fran has never used the future-predicting function of Star Gazing Art again, but only treats it as a functional spell.
"No, let's put it down for now... We don't necessarily have to use Star Gazing Art here..."
Ultimately, Fran chose to be cautious. If she didn't have enough information, she might have risked activating her Star Gazing Art here.
But now she has obtained some very valuable information, enough for her to make some arrangements.
Furthermore, Fran had a premonition that if she wanted to use the Star Gazing Art, she wouldn't need to stay in the ' Ancient ' Realm to use it; she could use it in the Material Realm as well.
She could only attribute this to the fact that she had already become connected to the matter, and in the theory of Astrology School, once a connection is established, more information can be obtained.
Fran turned her gaze to the paper, which contained the four very meaningful sentences she had just received.
First, let's look at the very first sentence.
The above clearly stated that she would eventually be involved in the key aspects of this matter, which was very significant information, and this almost made Fran give up the idea of avoiding it.
After all, once you know you'll eventually encounter it, all you can do is prepare; avoiding it will only mean missing your chance to survive.
"Before the Fourth Order..."
Fran recited the phrase, feeling somewhat troubled, since the scope defined by the phrase was rather broad.
Before reaching the Fourth Order, Fran was currently at the second tier. Although she anticipated that things wouldn't develop so quickly, she wasn't certain that things would continue to develop after she reached the third tier.
After all, second-order is before Fourth Order, which makes no logical problem.
"After leaving the Floating City, I need to immediately go to Harbos to learn the Promotion Method to the third tier..."
A sense of urgency rose in Fran's heart, but she still didn't plan to go to the City of Apprentices to find Harbos right now; that would be too rash.
How could she be sure that Harbos would believe she could advance to the second tier in such a short time without relying on any improper external forces?
It wasn't that Fran didn't trust Harbos, but rather that this kind of thing defied common sense, making Fran unsure of how to convince others.
After the trip to the Floating City is over, her Paper on Territory Mage will be published. With this Paper, which has great practical significance, becoming a Second Order Mage is not such an outrageous thing.
Or, by the time Fran returns from the Floating City, she estimates that more than a year has passed since she and Harbos reported becoming Formal Mage.
After a year, the shock of rapidly advancing to the second tier has been somewhat washed away.
The next prophecy is about Fran, not Fran herself, but the Alliance.
"In other words, the matter that the Alliance is focusing on investigating may be an item or a major event on the continent, and it will not have any impact on the Alliance."
"However, other interested parties, perhaps trying to bring the Alliance into the game, or perhaps due to misleading information from the Alliance itself, may suffer losses as a result."
Fran raised an eyebrow. Although she didn't know exactly what was going on, judging from the current actions, the Alliance was bound to suffer losses.
After all, she didn't know why the Alliance was acting so crazy these days, even bringing out the Abyss Contract.
The Alliance might not suffer any losses by taking proactive defensive measures, but given the current situation, the Alliance itself is unlikely to allow such a scenario to occur.
They gave the Radiant Sect two million Gold Coin, spent countless rare materials sealing off the realm, brought out the Abyss Contract treasured in their treasury, and mobilized the Alliance mages on a massive scale...
In this situation, anyone who tries to apply the brakes is going against the Alliance. Even if Fran were to reveal her identity now and have the Astrology School mages verify her prophecy, the result would still be the same.
The Alliance is already in a state of flux; it's not something that can be stopped by some clever person suddenly saying something at this moment...
Next, Fran turned her attention to the third piece of information.
"The Gods and the creatures of the continent have differing opinions on this matter..."
Fran concluded that if one of the possible outcomes of this event would harm the Gods, then the Gods' actions could be explained.
This gave Fran a new perspective on the matter: that the Gods were actually strongly involved in it.
Even if this place was originally occupied by the followers of the three Deity, it is possible that the target that the Astrology School was investigating just happened to collide with this realm.
However, judging from the current situation, it seems that this should not be a coincidence, but rather that there is a real connection. And the connection is not only between the three Deity who were banished from this realm, but between all the Deity themselves.
Fran frowned, because she seemed to remember that the Lord of Radiance had said He knew what the Alliance was looking for, but even now, He was still talking about the Riddler.
"Never mind, we can ask the Lord of Radiance if we find any crucial information."
Fran wasn't confident she could get the Lord of Radiance to reveal the full details of the matter, so she had to leave it for later.
"Finally, there's the main island of the Church of the Goddess of Ocean Currents..."
This is a crucial piece of information. If Fran were a mage in the Alliance, reporting this information would definitely give the Alliance the upper hand in the situation.
The main island of the Church of the Goddess of Ocean Currents is a movable island. The headquarters of the Church of the Goddess of Ocean Currents is located there, and if nothing unexpected happens, Heather, the Proxy of the Church of the Goddess of Ocean Currents, will also be there.
This can be considered one of the spiritual totems of the Church of the Goddess of Ocean Currents in the Material Realm; the significance of such a movable spectacle in religion is immeasurable.
The area above must be heavily guarded; there must be Fourth Order experts from the Church of the Goddess of Ocean Currents always keeping watch there.
However, this cannot stop the Alliance's attack at all. As long as the Alliance is willing to pay the price, this mobile wonder will soon fall into the hands of the mages.
"If the Alliance didn't know about this, the mages might not have been willing to pay the price to capture this island..."
Fran hesitated whether to reveal this information to the Alliance. Although she wasn't sure the Alliance would accept her information, there were still many possibilities.
Ultimately, however, Fran chose to keep it a secret, because although the information was beneficial to the Alliance, subsequent developments might not necessarily be advantageous to her.
The Alliance has taken the lead, but what about Fran?
Perhaps the Alliance will ultimately acquire something valuable, but what will Fran gain?
Even setting aside what Fran might gain, can Fran guarantee that she won't be suppressed by the Alliance because they want to keep this a secret?
At least on this matter, Fran personally and the mages of the Alliance are not on the same side.
