Journey to the Land of Waves

At exactly seven o'clock in the morning, all members of Genma Team gathered at the main gate of Konoha. Once everyone had arrived, Genma led his three subordinates onto the road toward the Land of Waves.

The weather today was somewhat overcast, and the members of Genma Team walked along a misty forest path.

Due to the fog, their pace was not fast. The four-man squad moved in a cross formation through this dense forest leading from the Land of Fire to the Land of Waves.

Hyuga Kamizuki, who possessed the Byakugan, walked at the very front, while Kato Taichi and Sakura Mangetsu took the flanks. Genma Shiranui, as the team leader, brought up the rear.

The group maintained this formation as they wove through the fog-shrouded woods.

It was nearly noon before the mist in the forest was finally burned away by the scorching sun in the sky.

Having walked for the entire morning, the members of Genma Team finally emerged from the dense forest.

Just as they stepped out of the woods, they found themselves on a stretch of open grassland. Genma looked up at the sky and, feeling that the time was getting late, instructed his subordinates to find a spot with a clear view to rest and eat.

After finding a flat, open area, the group sat down to rest. No sooner had Kato Taichi sat down than he pulled several brownish-gray military ration pills from his ninja tool pouch, preparing to make them his lunch for the day.

Just as Taichi was about to shove the ration pills into his mouth, he stopped his hand. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Kamizuki beside him.

He watched as Kamizuki slowly unslung the massive scroll from his back, laid it flat upon the grass, and unrolled a small section. Finally, Kamizuki's hands moved in a blur, weaving through a series of hand seals in the air before he whispered softly, "Secret Sealing Art: Release."

Following Kamizuki's soft command, a "poof" sound echoed as he slammed his palm onto the scroll. A puff of smoke erupted from the surface, and as it gradually dissipated, plates of delicious pastries and fruit juice appeared upon the scroll.

Seeing the delicacies on the scroll, Kato Taichi immediately put away the military ration pills in his hand. He scurried over to Kamizuki's side, wearing a fawning expression and acting cute, begging Kamizuki to let him share in the feast.

Kamizuki hadn't intended to eat alone when he brought the food out, but seeing Taichi's comical expression, he felt a sudden urge to tease him.

After toying with Taichi for a moment, Kamizuki finally distributed the food to the others so everyone could enjoy it together.

Speaking of this, one must mention the massive scroll Kamizuki carried on his back and the technique he had used.

This went back to Kamizuki's previous life. When he had watched the Naruto anime, he had seen Naruto carrying a large scroll on his back while in Sage Mode after mastering Sage Chakra.

Back then, Kamizuki had simply thought the giant scroll Naruto carried was nothing more than a prop used to look cool.

Later, after successfully borrowing the Scroll of Seals from Naruto, he discovered a technique within it for sealing weapons or shuriken into a scroll. He then thought about modifying the formula to create a technique that could store whatever he wanted.

In the end, he succeeded. He had modified the technique into something akin to the storage rings found in xianxia worlds. In truth, Kamizuki had actually made a storage ring, but it could hold very little, so he usually only wore it while inside Konoha.

With this scroll, Kamizuki felt it was truly wonderful; he could carry it around to look cool, and it was an essential tool for home and travel, perfect for showing off!

After finishing lunch and tidying up, Genma Team continued toward the Land of Waves. Once they cleared the grassland, the group arrived at the seaside; crossing this stretch of water would bring them to their destination.

After sitting on a boat for the better part of the day, Genma Team finally set foot on the territory of the Land of Waves. As soon as she stepped off the boat, Sakura Mangetsu's face turned deathly pale, and she rushed toward a rock near the shore, retching violently.

Seeing Mangetsu vomiting and in such distress, Genma, as the team leader, pulled two small pills from his ninja tool pouch, handed them to her, and said, "These are motion sickness pills. You'll be fine once you take them."

Sakura Mangetsu took the pills and, hearing Genma's words, swallowed them with a very reluctant expression.

In reality, these were just ordinary cold medicines, not motion sickness pills at all.

Whether it was the psychological suggestion of Genma's words or not, Mangetsu felt much better after taking the cold medicine.

Once Mangetsu felt a bit better, the group continued on their way. The distance from this shore to the capital of the Land of Waves was not very far; at Genma Team's pace, they would arrive at the capital, Hakodate City, in at most two hours.

An hour and a half later, the members of Genma Team finally arrived at the seaside capital of the Land of Waves, "Hakodate City."

Although this capital of the Land of Waves was not as magnificent or grand as the capital of the Land of Fire, it possessed a unique, exotic charm.

Under Genma's lead, Kamizuki and the others finally entered the city, which was said to have the most beautiful night view in the world of Naruto.

Mount Hakodate was the only mountain in Hakodate City, located on the sandbar in the western suburbs. It stood 334 meters above sea level with a circumference of about 9 kilometers. Its appearance resembled a cow lying down, which was why people also called it "Crouching Cow Mountain." The mansion of the Feudal Lord of the Land of Waves was located atop this mountain.

Since it was nearly dark by the time Genma Team arrived in Hakodate City, Genma first found them an inn to stay the night, planning to head up the mountain to meet the Feudal Lord of the Land of Waves the following morning.

Having traveled all day, the group, despite being elite ninja, felt quite exhausted. Consequently, they had no heart to admire the legendary beauty of the city's night view and went to sleep early.
