Although Bone Lord's ultimate goal was resurrection, he had little interest in so-called immortality. It seemed contradictory, but humans were contradictory creatures by nature.
The two continued forward, yet the scenery around them seemed to be moving backward. In a daze, the broken branches and crumbling tiles around them seemed to return to how they had once been, whole and intact. But it was merely an illusion caused by overlapping memories.

As they stepped onto the wooden floor, it immediately let out the sound of long neglect.
Orochimaru surveyed the surroundings. At first glance, he saw a large array of grimacing Death God Masks neatly arranged along the walls. If it had not been daytime, this place would have been eerily desolate.
Orochimaru licked his lips, his voice as hoarse and sinister as ever. "So, when will you give me the body you mentioned?"
"Someone will deliver it. Which mask was it that sealed your hands again?" Bone Lord stared at them for a while, seemingly unable to make heads or tails of it. As though giving up on thinking, he turned and asked Orochimaru.

Orochimaru looked at Bone Lord's white hair and fell silent for a moment. Put that way, it did seem to make sense...
