Background / History

Tiffany was raised in an aristocratic Stormwind family. Her father held a seat on the Stormwind Council, and she grew up sheltered from hardship, initially believing the orc invasion would be an ordinary, short-lived war that could not threaten Stormwind. Before the city fell, she left for a Redridge Mountains villa with other young nobles despite her mother's objections. 11

After receiving news that Stormwind had fallen, Tiffany joined Richard and the other nobles in an attempt to travel north to Dun Modr Fortress. The party quickly exhausted its supplies, lost its guards to desertion, and became stranded outside the Redridge Mountains. 11

An orc patrol attacked the group. Richard was killed, Mary was struck down, and the horses carried the carriage—and Vivian, Tiffany's lifelong maid and friend—away to the south. Surrounded by orcs, Tiffany told Vivian to flee rather than attempt a rescue, then fainted from terror. 11

Tiffany was subsequently held in an orc camp, where she met Malone. She initially suspected that his ability to speak with orcs meant he was an enemy spy, but chose to trust him after he vowed to protect and remove her from the camp. 16

While attempting to escape, Tiffany worsened a sprained ankle severely enough that moving could leave her crippled. She accepted that she would need to remain in the camp to recover, relying on Malone and later Teron Gorefiend for protection and care. 20 24
