Lu Ran expanded his Small World through Soul Beast contracts while building ties at Shrek and developing new ways to combine attributes. The arc ended with Lu Ran preparing to enroll as Shrek Academy opened admissions, while a boy vowed revenge on the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion.

• Lu Ran joined Shrek Academy after Yan Shaozhe learned about his Small World Martial Soul and Innate Full Soul Power, and Mu En appointed Yan Shaozhe, Xian Lin'er, and Zhang Lexuan to guide his first Soul Ring mission.
• Lu Ran contracted a wounded Rock Crystal Dragon, rose to level twelve, and gained three Soul Skills that could improve as the dragon grew.
• Lu Ran contracted a Golden Hawksbill, expanded his Small World into wetlands, plains, and desert, and moved a group of turtles into it.
• Lu Ran helped Ma Xiaotao suppress her Evil Fire, then transplanted an Explosive Pomegranate and a Brown-Striped Bee Swarm into his Small World.
• Lu Ran and Zhang Lexuan rescued Jiang Nannan from Nether Wolves, gave her herbs for her sick mother, and later gathered fruit plants and small Soul Beasts for Lu Ran’s Small World.
• Lu Ran reached level thirty after a year of cultivation and research, then joined Yan Shaozhe’s Soul Ring expedition, where Jiang Nannan also obtained her second Soul Ring.
• Lu Ran contracted a Jade Azure Bird, gained wind-attribute energy, and defeated Xu Sanshi in a Soul Fighting Zone duel after Xu Sanshi confronted him over Jiang Nannan.
• Lu Ran discovered that wind and water energies could combine into ice, worked on Blue Silver Grass hybrids, and later reached level thirty-six as Shrek Academy prepared to open admissions, while a boy swore revenge for his mother Huo Yun'er.

Huo Yuhao joined Shrek Academy and began training toward revenge, while Lu Ran won the freshman assessment and opened a successful shop. The arc ended with Lu Ran deep in the Far North as Xuan Zi’s warning device flashed red.

• Sky Dream Ice Silkworm entered Huo Yuhao and became his Soul Ring, while Tang Ya invited him to join the Tang Sect.
• Lu Ran traveled with Jiang Nannan, Bei Bei, and Tang Ya, then used his Rock Crystal Dragon to wound a Mandala Snake so Tang Ya could absorb its Soul Ring.
• Lu Ran astonished Shrek’s registration crowd with three purple Soul Rings, while Huo Yuhao entered the academy with a white Soul Ring and joined the Soul Guidance Department.
• During the freshman assessment, Lu Ran defeated Dai Huabin, Zhu Lu, and Cui Yajie with Wang Dong, while Huo Yuhao advanced despite his low ranking and simmering hatred of Dai Huabin.
• Lu Ran won first place in the assessment, declined a ten-thousand-year Soul Bone, and asked Yan Shaozhe for a busy storefront instead.
• Lu Ran opened a Milk Tea Shop staffed by Cloud Cluster Ground Rats, and the shop drew crowds and earned 7,115 Gold Soul Coins on its first day.
• Over the next three months, Lu Ran’s shop grew popular and copycat businesses appeared, while Zhou Yi’s harsh training failed to wear him down.
• Lu Ran flew into the Far North, reached an ice plain, brought out the Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice Marrow and another item, and saw Xuan Zi’s feather-shaped Soul Tool flash red.

Lu Ran secured the Far North rulers’ cooperation and returned to Shrek as Huo Yuhao’s search for the Ice Empress ended in an Ultimate Ice awakening. The academy’s assessments and selection tournament exposed Lu Ran’s strength and brought Huo Yuhao face-to-face with Dai Huabin, leaving Huo Yuhao convinced he had avenged his mother but still intent on destroying the Duke’s Mansion.

• Lu Ran offered Snow Empress and Ice Empress Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice Marrow in exchange for cooperation, then revealed the hidden Ice Cave and left them to enter seclusion.
• Huo Yuhao traveled with Tian Meng to the Far North, but Snow Empress and Ice Empress refused to meet them, leaving him to endure the frozen wasteland before returning to Shrek.
• Tian Meng trapped Ice Empress and tried to absorb her, but Snow Empress and the Titan Snow Demon King intervened, and Tian Meng escaped after a devastating battle.
• Lu Ran returned to Shrek, opened new Milk Tea Shop branches, and passed the promotion exam by calming a Violent Bear with his Golden Hat’s Soul Beast Affinity.
• Huo Yuhao absorbed the Ice Jade Scorpion’s origin power and Soul Ring, then told Fan Yu and Zhou Yi a cover story about his Ultimate Ice and newly awakened Twin Martial Souls.
• At the Selection Tournament, Lu Ran summoned Rock Crystal Dragon and Jade Azure Bird, scattering opponents as Dai Huabin charged him and collapsed after a strange burst of pain.
• Huo Yuhao used his Soul Skills to disable Dai Huabin and beat him, then accepted the teacher’s ruling that he had lost after Zhu Lu attacked him.
• Huo Yuhao left the arena believing he had avenged his mother and vowing to destroy the Duke’s Mansion, while Teacher Fan Yu met him outside.

Lu Ran joined Shrek’s Inspectorate mission against the Death Messenger, then led the Reserve Team into the Star Luo tournament and defeated Tianling Academy alone. After buying the Spirit-Devouring Carving Knife, he used its Life Gold to strengthen himself and the Small World before facing Qianling Team by himself.

• Fan Yu publicly expelled Huo Yuhao to protect him, and Xuan Zi named the tournament survivors the Seven Monsters Reserve Team.
• Xuan Zi recruited the Reserve Team and the Shrek Seven Devils into the Shrek Inspectorate, then led them on a mission to destroy the Death Messengers.
• Lu Ran pursued the Death Messenger, freed his Corpse Slaves with Electrolux’s help, and killed him, while Xuan Zi rushed the injured students back to Shrek.
• Wang Yan led Lu Ran and the remaining students to Star Luo City, where Lu Ran revealed that Shrek would compete without reinforcements and encouraged the team to use Soul Tools.
• Lu Ran led Shrek’s Reserve Team into the tournament and defeated Tianling Academy alone with his Soul Beasts and rock attacks.
• Xu Jiujiu invited Lu Ran’s group to the Star Luo Auction House, where Lu Ran bought the Spirit-Devouring Carving Knife for Electrolux.
• Electrolux purified the knife and fused its Life Gold with Lu Ran, expanding his Sea of Consciousness and raising his Soul Power to level forty-nine.
• Lu Ran entered a team battle against Qianling Team alone as its members charged at him.
