Background / History

Angela has served Martial Soul Hall for twenty years. By the time of Bibi Dong's visits to the Library Pavilion, she is a Cardinal trusted to accompany the Pope and handle sensitive errands. She initially cannot understand why Bibi Dong takes such an intense interest in the seemingly powerless librarian Su Chen. 3 4 8

When Bibi Dong orders the Library Pavilion sealed, Angela relays and enforces the restrictions despite being shaken by the divine, unfamiliar aura leaking from within. She oversees the three-hundred-pace exclusion zone and the delivery of Su Chen's daily meals. 4 5

Angela becomes a key defender of the Pavilion during the escalating conflict with the Worship Hall. She brings Temple Knights to the site after Su Chen is attacked, stands against a Soul King spy carrying a Worship Hall Elder Token, and attempts to stop Pei Yuan from entering under the First Worship's decree. 7 11 13

Her loyalty is tempered by practical judgment. When Bibi Dong's jealousy drives her to consider expanding the blockade by three miles and revoking the Heaven Dou delegation's privileges, Angela directly argues that doing so would expose Su Chen and give the Worship Hall an excuse to act.
