Background / History

Xie Xie is the young master of the Xie Family, a prominent mecha clan in Eastsea City. Even before his awakening, he carried himself with the reserve and distance expected of a prestigious household's heir. His Twin Martial Soul awakening immediately marked him as an exceptional talent. 1

The clay-pot beef shop owned by Uncle Li holds deep emotional importance to him: his mother used to bring him there, and he later visited it alone during her illness. When Guang Long threatened Uncle Li and insulted Xie Xie's mother, Xie Xie lost control, attacked the Soul Grand Master with his Light Dragon Dagger, and nearly suffered a fatal retaliation. 14 15

Yao Chuan rescued him from Guang Long and defeated the aggressor. After sharing the history of the shop and receiving kindness from Yao Chuan's group, Xie Xie asked Yao Chuan to become his “Big Brother,” pledging to follow his lead. Yao Chuan later accepted him as a follower after they sparred and ate together. 15 16

Three years later, Xie Xie enrolled in Grade One Class Five at Eastsea Academy alongside Tang Wulin. He became one of the class's representatives for the Class Promotion Tournament and trained with Tang Wulin and Gu Yue under Wu Changkong. 19 30 34 42

He is also impulsive and hot-headed. Guang Long's insult toward his mother drove him to attack despite the overwhelming difference in strength, and he later reacts defensively when Tang Wulin teases him about losing a fight. 14 30

Under Yao Chuan's influence, Xie Xie develops a strong admiration for decisive, efficient combat. He explains Wu Changkong's combat lesson to Tang Wulin and openly attributes his own understanding to Yao Chuan's guidance. 28 29

His loyalty to Yao Chuan is unusually intense. Though normally cold toward others, he becomes openly enthusiastic around his “Big Brother,” boasts about Yao Chuan's strength, and treats Yao Chuan's victories as a source of personal pride. 19 29 30
