Background / History

After arriving at Eastsea Academy to request enrollment in Grade One Class Five, Gu Yue ignored Wu Changkong's initial arrangement to test herself against Xie Xie and instead directly challenged Yao Chuan. At Yao Chuan's insistence, she defeated Xie Xie first, then faced Yao Chuan herself. Despite deploying six elements at once, she was defeated when Yao Chuan reached her throat with a wooden spear. Wu Changkong accepted her into Class Five afterward. 31 32

Gu Yue later met secretly with Di Tian outside the academy. She identified Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King aura, but regarded Yao Chuan as the greater discovery: his dragon-attribute bloodline made her Silver Dragon power resonate and carried an unprecedented sense of nobility. She decided that winning Yao Chuan over would greatly improve the soul beasts' plan for revival. 33
