Arc 1Shingen’s Rise and Training
Uchiha Shingen’s work in the Konoha Military Police Force drew Shisui, Danzo, and Jiraiya into his orbit, while his growing abilities made him a target of political interest. He became Jiraiya’s student and began training, as Danzo prepared to release Setsuna Uchiha and Shingen’s new allies gathered for a spar in the Forest of Death.
- Uchiha Shingen taught Shisui to consider the consequences and public perception of police work, then helped him catch a pickpocket without worsening the Uchiha’s reputation.
- Jiraiya confronted Shingen over his criticism of Make-Out Hell, then invited him to collaborate on a book, while Danzo increased Root’s surveillance of Shingen.
- Shingen upgraded his Sharingan to Three-Tomoe and used Taijutsu to defeat Shisui when the younger Uchiha secretly challenged him.
- Danzo tried to recruit Shingen and Shisui in an abandoned district, but both refused, and Jiraiya intervened to protect them.
- Fugaku learned of Shingen’s strength and gave him jutsu scrolls, while the Third Hokage rebuked Danzo and ended Root’s surveillance of the Uchiha.
- Shingen became Jiraiya’s student, trained with him outside Konoha, and used Shadow Clones to practice Taijutsu and Sword Leap Flame.
- Danzo arranged for Setsuna Uchiha’s release, while Fugaku feared the consequences of Setsuna’s return and Jiraiya brought Shingen to meet Minato’s team.
- Obito challenged Shingen in the Forest of Death and was trapped by his genjutsu, after which Kakashi approached Shingen and Jiraiya warned Minato that he might have to fight him himself.
