Sure enough, Tsunade's face darkened the moment she heard that.

Tsunade dropped the act. She threw back the covers and emerged from the seal, not caring that she was giving Xuanye an eyeful.

To put it bluntly, he wanted her body.

Since there was no one else he wanted to marry for now, marrying her was no great hardship.

Fugaku had urged him to marry before, too. From a Hokage's perspective, Tsunade really was the best choice for a wife.

She had achievements, prestige, and impeccable roots. No one in all of Konoha was better suited to be the Hokage's wife.

A marriage certificate was only a piece of paper anyway.
