The next afternoon.
Without keeping the ninjas from the various villages waiting too long, Moryo emerged from outside the capital with its Undead Army, heading straight for the palace where the Shrine Maiden resided.
Moryo possessed a massive, sturdy physique, its base covered in tentacles both thick and thin. Its main outline was blurred and irregular, as if it were a physical entity condensed from darkness. Its face was sinister, and its entire body was wreathed in a greenish-yellow malevolence.
"Shrine Maiden! Offer up your power so that I may conquer the entire Ninja World!"
As the monster let out a roar, a massive number of soldiers charged forward alongside it.
The ninja side responded quickly. Genichi stood beside the Shrine Maiden, silently entering Sage Mode to monitor the entire battlefield.
Rasa's Magnet Release was clearly inferior to that of the Third Kazekage; he could not suppress Moryo at all, only slightly restricting its forward momentum. Fortunately, the ninja known as Yomi, who was behind the scenes, never appeared, and the ninjas from Kumogakure also launched attacks against Moryo.
Genichi stopped focusing on this part of the battlefield. With the Eight-Tails jinchuriki present, crippling Moryo was only a matter of time, so he extended his perception further.
The fighting on the periphery was not particularly intense; Minato's strength, combined with the Flying Thunder God, was more than enough to control the situation.
However, Genichi kept his attention fixed on this area to prevent any accidents.
After all, perhaps it is the fate of those with god-like speed to always arrive one step late.
Moryo's strength was not poor, but facing elite squads from four major ninja villages simultaneously, while suffering the disadvantage of having all its intelligence leaked, it was beaten into a severely wounded state and pinned in place before long.
Seeing the Shrine Maiden being brought closer by Genichi, Moryo knew it could not escape the fate of being sealed this time. It gave up struggling and chose to leave behind a harsh threat at the final moment: "Shrine Maiden, you know you cannot destroy me; you are merely delaying the inevitable. Next time, I will devour your daughter. That is the destiny of your Shrine Maiden lineage!"
Ignoring Moryo, the Shrine Maiden spoke: "Everyone, please distance yourselves from here for a moment. I will seal the monster with the assistance of this Konoha ninja."
"Can a ninja's sealing jutsu actually have an effect on Moryo?" Dodai of Kumogakure looked puzzled, his thoughts unreadable.
Genichi explained slowly: "It relies primarily on the Shrine Maiden's sealing jutsu. I will add a layer of sealing from the outside to reduce Moryo's resistance, which might just save the Shrine Maiden's life."
Once the others had left, Genichi began the sealing process and asked casually: "Miroku, once you master Moryo's power, will you be able to use these armies of his?"
Miroku replied: "Of course. Do you intend to use them to conquer the Ninja World?"
"With this little bit of power? No need. I was wondering if you could control them to pave roads, farm crops, or build houses." Thinking of high-quality labor that worked 24/7 without pay or complaints, the soul of an infrastructure enthusiast burned within Genichi.
Although she didn't understand why he would want to use them for such things, Miroku thought it over carefully: "I'm afraid not. Moryo only controls the general direction of the army's actions and releases their desire for slaughter and destruction. If you want precise control, I could only command a small portion of the soldiers to do what you said, and I would have to focus my attention on them the entire time."
"Never mind then." Genichi felt a bit disappointed, but upon reflection, it made perfect sense.
In the end, the seal was completed. The Shrine Maiden survived, but she seemed exhausted and in poor condition. After summoning the ninjas, she simply said:
"Moryo has been successfully sealed. This mission is concluded. The payment will be delivered to your respective villages by designated personnel. The capital of the Land of Demons is currently in ruins and needs rebuilding, so I will not keep you all any longer."
Genichi and his group were now on the road back to the village. Before leaving, Genichi had one of the Shrine Maiden's subordinates sign a temporary summoning contract with Ryūchi Cave to facilitate communication.
During the future Third Shinobi World War, it might be inconvenient to leave Konoha for several years. Genichi thought to himself that once he became Hokage and expanded Konoha's influence, he would incorporate the Land of Demons into their system, allowing the Shrine Maiden to move to Konoha legitimately.
He just didn't know how to explain this to his little girlfriends back in the village. Now that things were over, Genichi felt it was a thorny issue. Surely he wouldn't be "stabbed" for having a harem in another world, right?
Nobles seemed to have a tradition of polygamy, so perhaps they would be more accepting of it? It seemed he had no choice but to act; unifying the Land of Fire could not be delayed.
Children in the Ninja World were mostly precocious; some began to focus on romance as soon as they entered the academy, especially the girls.
For instance, Kurenai Yuhi in the team had noticed early on that the look the Shrine Maiden gave Genichi-sensei was special, containing inexplicable emotions that were completely different from how she looked at others.
Moreover, when Genichi-sensei protected the Shrine Maiden, he stood far too close. At a glance, it seemed normal enough since there was no direct physical contact.
But Kurenai tried to put herself in that position: if a strange man she had just met stood that close to her, she would inevitably feel repulsed and walk away, yet the Shrine Maiden reacted with indifference and didn't mind at all.
Looking at it this way, could it be that Genichi-sensei and the Shrine Maiden of the Land of Demons are...? Kurenai Yuhi couldn't help but cover her mouth with both hands, terrified that she might accidentally blurt out her guess and be silenced by Genichi-sensei. Yet, her eyes couldn't help but glance at Genichi from time to time, thinking to herself:
I remember Genichi-sensei has three childhood sweethearts back in the village—one from the Uzumaki Clan, one from the Uchiha Clan, and one from the Hyuga Clan. Now, out of the village, he's getting tangled up with the Shrine Maiden. Is being handsome and strong all that matters? Scum teacher!
Genichi noticed Kurenai's small movements. For some reason, he felt a bit guilty and decided to speak up to break the strange atmosphere:
"Before coming to the Land of Demons, I said I would reward the one who performed the best with a ninjutsu. So, Minato, who do you think performed the best?"
Minato thought for a moment and said: "Moryo's soldiers gradually recover even when destroyed. If we use the effectiveness of restraining the undead soldiers as the standard, then Kakashi's Earth Release performed the best."
Amidst Kakashi's expectant gaze and the slightly disappointed atmosphere of the others, Genichi handed the scroll containing the Chidori and its subsequent variations to Kakashi.
"Kakashi, I need to remind you of one thing: until your reaction speed is recognized by Jonin Minato, do not use the Chidori to accelerate your body and charge directly at an opponent." Genichi instructed solemnly:
"If you don't react in time during your charge, and the opponent happens to react, the enemy can easily dodge your attack and use a kunai to blind your left eye."
Kakashi felt a chill in his heart, and his left eye felt a phantom pain. I could have understood if he just gave a random example, so why describe it in such detail, down to being stabbed in the left eye? Damn it, is this a genjutsu? This feeling is so real.
"You guys don't need to be disappointed. Minato has also mastered the Rasengan; there will be plenty of opportunities in the future." Genichi comforted the remaining, somewhat dejected children.
