Shenron Appears, Intercepting the Wish (Part 2)

After arriving at Pilaf's castle, Young Goku pushed open the tightly shut gate, and the group walked inside.

Just like in the original story, once Goku and the others entered, they began to encounter various mechanical traps.

However, thanks to the agile movements of Young Goku and Yamcha, along with the help of Iris, who knew a bit of martial arts, the group successfully navigated through many of the traps.

Yet, just as in the original story, the group eventually ended up trapped in a small space formed after a mechanical door slammed shut.

At this moment, Mai and Shu immediately exited the castle and began rummaging through the car where Yamcha had been waiting.

"King Pilaf, we've searched everywhere and couldn't find them. It seems they are carrying the Dragon Balls on their persons," Mai and Shu reported after returning inside once they finished searching.

"Then we'll bring them over one by one and search them!" Pilaf said immediately after hearing this.

Once he finished speaking, Pilaf's gang immediately sprang into action. Just like in the original story, they grabbed one person first to interrogate.

However, also like in the original story, the first person they grabbed did not have the Dragon Ball they were looking for, so Iris, who had been captured, was released.

Mai suddenly spoke up: "King Pilaf, interrogating them one by one is too slow. Why don't we release some sleeping gas? Wouldn't it be more convenient to just go in and search them then?"

Seeing that Mai's suggestion made sense, Pilaf immediately pressed a button, and a yellow gas suddenly began to spread in the area where Goku and the others were trapped.

Before long, Goku and the others fell into a deep sleep after inhaling a large amount of the gas containing sleep-inducing molecules, and the group collapsed to the ground in various sleeping positions.

Shortly thereafter, Pilaf's gang arrived, and very quickly, Mai found the final Dragon Ball on Young Goku's person.

Meanwhile, in the recreation room created by Zhou Zilong, Bulma, tired from playing, rested while asking Zhou Zilong: "Zilong, is it really okay for us to keep playing here? We mustn't miss it!"

Sensing that it was almost time for Shenron to appear, Zhou Zilong replied: "Then you rest here for a while; I'll go check on the situation!"

At this moment, inside Pilaf's castle, Pilaf, who had woken up (having inhaled a little gas because he wasn't wearing a mask when he went in), couldn't stop his excitement upon seeing the seven Dragon Balls.

After going outside, Zhou Zilong hid in an open area and muttered: "I'll just wait here for Pilaf's gang to appear!"

Inside the trapped stone chamber, Iris, having woken up, realized the bag containing the Dragon Balls was gone and began shaking Young Goku, who was sleeping next to Yamcha: "Goku, wake up! Your Dragon Balls are gone!"

Young Goku, being shaken repeatedly, finally opened his eyes after Iris's shouting grew louder, complaining that she was too noisy.

"Huff... huff... huff!" Yamcha, who had woken up, flashed to the side and began panting heavily.

It turned out that just as Iris was shaking Young Goku, Yamcha had glanced over and seen a sight he would never forget, which made his heart race immediately.

After calming down and looking around, they discovered that the door to the stone chamber that had held them was now open, so Young Goku and the others began searching for an exit together.

At a turn, Young Goku and the others ran into Pilaf's gang. Knowing that Young Goku and his group were not to be trifled with and that a head-on confrontation would be disadvantageous, Pilaf, along with Mai and Shu, immediately turned and ran back into the room they had come from.

Young Goku and the others then arrived at a fork in the road. Just as they were pondering which way to go, they saw a massive iron ball suddenly attacking them.

Under the continuous assault of the iron ball, Young Goku and the others were forced back into a stone chamber and trapped once again.

Confirming that Young Goku and his group could not get out, Pilaf finally had Mai and Shu take the seven Dragon Balls and head toward the open area outside.

"Goku, why don't you try your Kamehameha?" After trying to no avail in the stone chamber, Yamcha spoke to Young Goku.

While agreeing, Young Goku asked: "Sure, no problem, but how did you know I knew the Kamehameha?"

Yamcha replied: "Because back then, I wanted to get to the Dragon Balls before you and make my wish first, so I secretly followed you, and that's how I saw you learn that move!"

Because he was simple-minded, Young Goku didn't dwell on it and immediately struck the pose for the Kamehameha: "Ka-me-ha-me-HA!" Energy began to condense in Young Goku's hands.

With a "pong," Young Goku's Kamehameha hit the wall, making a loud noise. However, just like in the original story, the Kamehameha only managed to blast a small hole in the wall.

At this moment, Yamcha whispered to his companion Puar: "Puar, hurry up and transform into a small flying animal to get out and help me fulfill that wish!"

"Po!" Puar nodded and immediately transformed into a small bat, flying out through the hole.

On the other side, seeing that Zhou Zilong still hadn't arrived, Oolong, who had his own selfish plans, also immediately flew out.

"Come forth, Shenron!" In the open area, Pilaf recited the incantation to summon Shenron as the seven orbs began to glow.

In an instant, the sky, which had already been darkening, became covered in black clouds.

At this moment, the area around the seven Dragon Balls transformed into a beam of yellow light that shot up into the sky, and one could vaguely see a dragon-shaped creature forming.

After the light faded, a dragon-like creature with red eyes and a body of green and cream-yellow hung in the sky. Zhou Zilong, who had been hiding, watched this scene and understood that Shenron had appeared.

Shenron, in the sky, looked down at Pilaf and spoke his iconic line: "State your wish. No matter what the wish is, I can grant it for you, but only one!"

Stunned by Shenron, Pilaf finally reacted and said excitedly: "Then... then I shall state my wish!"

At this moment, a voice rang out beside Pilaf: "Your wish is too useless; better save it for later. I'll be the one making the wish this time!"
