Michael arrived in Misaki City seeking its Ley Line and became entangled with Aozaki Aoko, Alice Kuonji, and Tōko Aozaki. As Michael trained Aoko and prepared his own schemes, Aoko faced Ingram in battle, leaving her magical energy badly depleted.

• Michael escaped Merlin Solomon’s assault, emerged from the Sea of Imaginary Numbers centuries later, and settled in Misaki City to pursue a Ley Line.
• Michael confronted Alice Kuonji in the forest, but Aozaki Aoko rescued her and Michael began investigating Aoko’s connection to the Five Magics.
• Michael threatened Aoko, met Tōko Aozaki, and was drawn into their ambush, where he fought a Phantasmal Species and was badly injured.
• Michael allied himself with Aoko and Alice against Tōko, visited Goda Church, and later began training Aoko to fight.
• Michael and Aoko spent time together in Misaki, while Michael secretly prepared a trap and Tōko was injured by an explosion and poison.
• Ingram entered Misaki to claim a spiritual land, destroyed Aoko’s Crow Familiars, and faced her in battle.
• Aoko battered Ingram and countered his enhanced Yin Qi Bullets, but spent much of her magical energy while Michael studied Ingram’s Value Conversion formula.

Aoko and Alice joined Michael in defeating Touko, and Aoko awakened the Fifth Magic while Michael’s Star Core fully awakened. After a quiet Christmas parting, Michael crossed into another world as Jin'ga Seiji’s Saber, where a new Grail War was beginning.

• Aoko, Alice, and Michael fought Touko and her allies at Misaki City’s anchor points, but Touko seized control of the barrier and defeated Aoko and Alice.
• Michael fought Merlin and his summoned beings while Touko threatened Aoko and Alice at the abandoned amusement park.
• Aoko awakened the Fifth Magic, and Michael’s Star Core reached full awakening, granting him greater power and understanding of magecraft.
• Michael defeated Merlin’s forces but spared him, while Aoko defeated Touko and cursed her to become a Madagascar Frog whenever she returned to the land.
• Aoko and Alice shared Christmas with Michael, and he later met Aoko’s grandfather, revealing his partial mastery of the Fifth Magic and learning from the old man’s approach to the Root.
• Michael gave Aoko a Christmas present and said he would leave after New Year’s, though he had not yet told Alice.
• In another world, Michael answered Jin'ga Seiji’s summoning as Saber, subdued his Master, and decided to make him a more capable ally for the Grail War.
• Berserker killed a Holy Church target, and Tatsumiaino found a golden membership card that gained him entry to Takama-ga-hara.

Michael formed a contract with Sajo Aika and maneuvered through the Holy Grail War while Tatsumiaino tried to stop the Linglongguan Family. The family’s head died, and Michael infiltrated the Ise-san workshop in search of Rider’s true Master.

• Tatsumiaino entered the members' floor, where Berserker shielded him from a gunman before Archer pinned the attacker with arrows.
• Michael and Archer fought Dead Apostles as the Church and Mage's Association suspended the Holy Grail War and offered a Command Spell for helping exterminate them.
• After Jin'ga Seiji died and his contract with Michael ended, Michael agreed to serve Sajo Aika, whose Clairvoyance showed that he had made the future hazy.
• Michael told Sajo Aika and Sajo Hiroki that he would avoid direct fights with Servants, watch the conflict, and ultimately offer Aika the Holy Grail.
• Jin'ga Sōsuke used a strange card to borrow a Servant's power, but Berserker, the homunculus girl, and Archer defeated him, and Michael retrieved the card.
• Tatsumiaino and Berserker brought the poisoned homunculus girl to the Holy Church, where the Bishop revealed that the Linglongguan Family had created Tokyo's Dead Apostles.
• Tatsumiaino asked Archer's Master, Saijo Elsa, to help stop the Holy Grail War, and Elsa later joined Archer and Lancer in their plans to attack the Linglongguan Family.
• Michael arranged the death of the Linglongguan Family head, then infiltrated the Ise-san workshop, wounded Elder Genri, and set off the alarm after searching for Rider's true Master.

Michael ended the Holy Grail War, took Aika with him, and the survivors began to rebuild their lives as the ritual’s aftermath set new events in motion. In the next investigation, Michael entered the Sbolde Family’s hidden territory, where the Mental Domain swallowed him after he confronted its haunted castle.

• Michael exposed his attack on the Ise-san Family, while Elsa’s team broke into Reienkan Mansion and faced Rider’s temple and Sphinxes.
• Arash used Stella to split Rider’s temple, and Michael killed Ozymandias as the temple collapsed.
• Caster recalled his friendship with Misaya before the Nameless Servant defeated him with Unlimited Blade Works.
• Aika told Nigel that Mikaeru had never been a Servant, then Assassin killed Nigel and Aika stopped Lancer’s attack with one finger.
• Michael reached the Greater Grail, copied the Root’s power, reshaped the hatching Apocalypse Beast into a new body, and destroyed the Grail.
• Michael told Hiroki he would take Aika to his world, while Elsa mourned Arash and resolved to return home.
• Misaya revived, Tatsumiaino woke before the war and resolved to summon Berserker again, and a new ritual began forming beneath Tokyo.
• Michael entered the Sbolde Family’s hidden territory, destroyed its corrupted souls, and was drawn into a white void when the wooden door appeared.
