"By the way, Soya, Nappa just suggested that Prince Vegeta join in on our game of 'whack-a-bean'," Carnegie leaned in, smiling at Soya. "Prince Vegeta agreed, saying he wants to play along."
Soya: "..."
Has this guy Carnegie really chosen to stand on my side so quickly?
"I heard that too!" Raditz chimed in from the side.
"It is indeed true!" Vegeta gave a faint smile.
Nappa's face cycled through shades of red and white.
This is awkward!
I had just suggested having Prince Vegeta join our game of 'whack-a-bean'.
And now, this guy Soya's combat power has already surpassed mine!
"Negative emotion points from Nappa +666!"
The happiest person here was undoubtedly Raditz.
Nappa, you finally understand how I felt before, don't you?
"We'll talk about the beans when we get back," Vegeta snorted, addressing everyone present. "There are still plenty of monsters on this planet that need to be cleared out! Since Soya's combat power has increased, we'll split into three groups! I, Nappa, and Soya will each lead one!"
"C-can I team up with Prince Vegeta?" Raditz asked excitedly.
"Kuri, you're with me," Vegeta glanced sideways at Raditz and spoke to Kuri.
Because Kuri was the weakest member of the team.
As the strongest existence in the squad, Vegeta naturally had to pick the weakest member to avoid unnecessary casualties.
It wasn't that Vegeta had a kind heart; he was simply worried that if everyone else in the team died and he was left alone, handling the remaining tasks would be troublesome.
"Thank you... Yes! Prince Vegeta!" Kuri was ecstatic. "To be able to team up with you! It is such an honor!"
"Hmph, don't hold me back!" Vegeta scoffed.
"Um... Soya, can I team up with you?" Raditz leaned in, looking at Soya with anticipation.
"Sure," Soya nodded.
"That's great!" Raditz was overjoyed.
Following Soya is better than following Nappa, right?
After all, Soya's current combat power is over 1,000 higher than Nappa's.
"Raditz, I really don't know what you're thinking," Carnegie shook his head and sighed softly.
"What do you mean?" Raditz was stunned.
"Soya's performance just now... I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it!" Carnegie lowered his voice, whispering into Raditz's ear.
Raditz's expression stiffened, and his face instantly turned incredibly ugly.
What you're saying actually makes a lot of sense!
This is bad!
"Alright, move out!" Vegeta dropped the command and immediately soared into the air, flying toward the zone where the monsters had higher combat power.
Kuri hurried to follow behind him.
Nappa took Carnegie and flew off in another direction.
"Let's go!" Soya followed into the sky, turning into a streak of light and heading toward the area with the densest concentration of combat power at an incredible speed.
In the blink of an eye, Soya had left Raditz far behind, out of sight.
Raditz: "..."
"Negative emotion points from Raditz +666!"
Wait for me, will you!
Can you not fly so fast?
With the rapid growth in his combat power, Soya felt that his speed and strength had both increased significantly.
His combat power had risen from 780 to 3,400, more than a fourfold increase.
For a moment, Soya felt a bit unaccustomed to his own body.
Fortunately, after adjusting his flight posture a few times, Soya quickly adapted to the surge of energy within him and slowly reduced his flight speed.
Raditz caught up, panting heavily.
I regret choosing to team up with you.
"Don't leave me behind! This planet is dangerous!" Cold sweat beaded on Raditz's face as he vigilantly scanned his surroundings.
"Uh, my combat power increased too much, and I accidentally flew a bit too fast. I hope you don't mind," Soya chuckled.
Raditz was left speechless.
"Negative emotion points from Raditz +666!"
He paused.
Raditz asked curiously, "Soya, are you sure we should fly in that direction? There are a lot of monsters over there!"
"Exactly because there are so many monsters, it's fun to grind them!" Soya chuckled.
Raditz swallowed hard, suddenly feeling that what Carnegie had said earlier was absolutely right.
I feel like teaming up with you... is a bit dangerous.
"Wait a second... looking at the scouter, the area you're heading toward has over a dozen monsters with power levels exceeding 1000!" Raditz checked the scouter carefully, his face turning pale.
"Don't worry, with me here, it'll be fine." Soya gave Raditz a reassuring look.
Raditz: "..."
"Negative emotion points from Raditz +222!"
Your power level is 3400, of course you'll be fine.
The problem is... my power level is only 700!
If I run into any monster over 1000, I'm as good as dead!
"By the way, how did you increase your power level?" Raditz asked out of curiosity.
"Do you want to increase your power level?" Soya's heart stirred as he suddenly thought of the Sacred Water of Battle.
Isn't this the perfect lab rat?
Letting this guy Raditz try it out is the perfect way to see what kind of side effects it has.
"Of course I want to increase my power level!" Raditz nodded, then quickly reminded him, "Slow down! We're getting closer and closer to the monster-dense area!"
"Try this." Soya slowly came to a stop, hovering high in the air, and took out a large barrel of water.
"This is..." Raditz was stunned, looking a bit confused.
"Take a sip, your power level will double!" Soya said, then caught sight of a bamboo cup below, quickly flew down to retrieve it, and poured a cup for Raditz.
"Take a sip... and my power level will double?" Raditz was dumbfounded. "Is there really such a good thing? Is this what you drank to increase your power level?"
"Don't tell anyone else. Your father asked me to look after you, which is why you're getting special treatment," Soya said mysteriously, patting Raditz on the shoulder.
"I understand, I won't tell anyone, don't you worry." Raditz was incredibly excited. Just as he was about to take a drink, he suddenly thought of something, held the cup to his lips, and asked, "I've never seen you drink this water!"
"I always drink it in secret; why would I let you guys see?" Soya chuckled.
"That makes sense!" Raditz nodded, no longer hesitating, and downed the cup of Sacred Water of Battle in one gulp.
Then, Raditz silently sensed the changes in his own energy.
"Negative emotion points from Raditz +888!"
You liar!
What the hell!
My power level didn't increase at all!
Raditz's face darkened as he glared at Soya.
I can't believe I fell for your nonsense!
Drink a sip and your power level doubles?
Am I really that stupid?
Getting played like a child by him!
"Hmm?" Soya was also slightly taken aback and immediately checked Raditz's power level via the scouter.
Raditz's power level was still 700, without the slightest change.
What happened to the promised doubling?
Is this damn system messing with me?
