Suddenly, a pterosaur-like monster plunged from the sky. It hooked Baru with one claw and carried him high into the air.
"Rip! Rip!"
The next instant, the pterosaur used its sharp claws to tear Baru into several pieces.
Baru cried out in agony as he fell through the air, dying in an instant.
Soya was shaken to the core. His pupils shrank.
This was the tragic fate of the Saiyans.

In the blink of an eye, the monster exploded in midair, turning into a cloud of blood mist. It was dead beyond any doubt.
"Damn it! One of us died as soon as we got here!" Raditz clenched his fists, his face pale with fright. "Now we'll have one fewer Doudou!"
"Our odds of becoming Doudou have gone up to one in three," Carnegie said gravely.
Soya was speechless.
What was wrong with these guys' thought processes?
Saiyans really were a race without feelings.
It seemed that except for Bardock's family—and not including Raditz—most Saiyans had no feelings at all.
Someone had died right after they arrived, yet Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz didn't care. Even Carnegie and Kuri, who had been on good terms with Baru, paid no mind to his death.

"Let's clear out this area first! This terrain puts us at a disadvantage!" Nappa said. He pinched his thumb and index and middle fingers together, then raised his hand.

The widespread attack forced many monsters hiding in the shadows to reveal themselves.
