"Whoosh—"

A shooting star streaked across Namek's sky.

"Thud!"

A massive spaceship came to a steady stop on the ground.

Li Feng and the others stepped out of the spaceship.

Lush green vegetation stretched out before them.

"So this is Namek! It's beautiful!"

Gohan cheered.

"So this is my home?"

Piccolo gazed at the scenery before him, a familiar, warm feeling welling up inside.

"There are several powerful energy signatures over there!"

Goku looked into the distance.

Huh? Who could they be?

Li Feng sensed them too.

"Whoever they are, let's head over there first."

Li Feng suggested.

"Those energy signatures we just sensed aren't especially powerful. They probably don't belong to Frieza."

While they were flying, Li Feng had also told Goku and the others about Frieza's intentions: they had to get the Dragon Balls before he did.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

To avoid being detected by the Scouters, all four of them kept their energy low as they flew toward their target.

That was probably where Grand Elder Guru lived. Having him unlock their potential would be a major boost to their battle powers!

Li Feng was secretly delighted.

"Whoosh—!"

The four arrived at a stone house, where a Namekian stood guard at the entrance.

"Who are you?" Nail asked warily. He looked at Piccolo in surprise. "Which Namekian are you? Why don't I recognize you?"

"We're here to help you deal with the crisis you're facing," Li Feng replied.

"It's all right, Nail. Let them in," an elderly voice called from inside the house.

The four entered. Even though Li Feng had seen the scene in the manga before, he was still amazed to see the enormous Namekian, who stood over ten meters tall.

"Honored Grand Elder Guru, I'm Li Feng. These are Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Piccolo. We've come for two reasons. First, we hope you can unlock our potential. Second, we hope to borrow the Namekian Dragon Balls."

"In the near future, a terrifying and evil enemy will come to Namek, slaughter the innocent, and destroy the planet. We're here to stop them."

Li Feng explained why they had come.

"Piccolo?"

"Oh, so you're that person's child."

Grand Elder Guru looked at Piccolo, and memories came flooding back.

"All right. I agree to your terms. I hope you can protect my planet and my people," Grand Elder Guru said slowly.

"But, Grand Elder, your health..." Nail hurriedly tried to stop him.

"Nail, I haven't much time left. And I have a feeling that what he said is true. Let me make one last contribution to my people."

"Thank you, Grand Elder. I won't let you down."

"Which of you will go first?" Grand Elder Guru asked the four.

"Unlock my potential? I'll go first!"

The familiar feeling Piccolo had inside grew stronger, and deep down, he trusted Grand Elder Guru.

Grand Elder Guru placed his large hand on Piccolo's head and began to unlock his potential.

Piccolo went from confusion, to shock, and finally to gratitude.

It seemed Piccolo and Grand Elder Guru were communicating in their own unique way.

"Whoosh!"

"Boom!"

A surge of white energy shot into the sky, immediately kicking up dust all around them.

"Phew—!"

"Piccolo, your potential is greater than that of any other Namekian. I hope you can protect our planet."

"Thank you, Grand Elder Guru!"

Piccolo was both overjoyed and grateful!

Piccolo's battle power had now risen to 100,000!

"Heh heh, my turn."

Seeing Piccolo's battle power soar in an instant, Goku was eager to give it a try too.

"Hm? Oh, your potential is immense as well!"

Grand Elder Guru quietly began unlocking Goku's potential.

A few minutes passed. Sweat covered Grand Elder Guru's forehead, and it took him quite a while to finish.

"What an astonishing young man. I could only draw out some of your potential. You have so much!"

"Boom!"

An even more powerful surge of energy raged around them, but it lasted only an instant before Goku brought it completely under control.

"Thank you, Grand Elder Guru!"

Goku sensed the energy inside him and was thrilled.

Goku's battle power was now 1,500,000.

"Go ahead, Gohan!" Piccolo encouraged him.

"Then I'll go, Grand Elder. Please guide me," Gohan said politely.

"Come, child. Let me sense your potential..." Grand Elder Guru murmured.

"Child, your potential is terrifying. I can only try to unlock one-tenth of it." With that, Grand Elder Guru placed his hand on Gohan's head.

"Boom!" A powerful surge of energy burst from Gohan, whipping up a whirlwind.

"This power... It's incredible!" Piccolo was astonished by the immense energy radiating from Gohan.

"Whoa! That's amazing, Gohan!" Goku exclaimed.

"The Saiyans really do have incredible potential!" Li Feng marveled.

Li Feng checked Gohan's battle power with his Scouter: 110,000!

Gohan was amazed by his strength too, but he soon suppressed his energy and thanked Grand Elder Guru.

"Phew—" Sweat ran down Grand Elder Guru's head. He seemed to have pushed himself past his limits.

"Grand Elder Guru, have one of these to restore your strength."

Li Feng gave Grand Elder Guru a Senzu Bean.

Unlocking the potential of Saiyans with immense reserves like Goku and Gohan was truly exhausting.

"Oh, is this that miraculous bean that restores one's strength?"

Grand Elder Guru was surprised, but he ate it.

Once Grand Elder Guru's energy had recovered, Li Feng spoke.

"All right, my turn."

Li Feng approached Grand Elder Guru, anticipation and excitement filling him.

"Hm? I can't sense the limits of your potential at all!" Grand Elder Guru was shocked once again.

"After sensing your potential, I can only draw out roughly one percent of it," Grand Elder Guru slowly revealed the startling truth.

"That's all right. Even drawing out a part of it will help."

"Very well!" Grand Elder Guru once again placed his hand on Li Feng's head and strained to unlock his potential.

If Goku and Gohan's potential had been like mighty rivers rushing onward, then Li Feng's was like a vast and turbulent ocean!

Grand Elder Guru strained to unlock Li Feng's potential, using even more energy than he had for the three of them combined.

"Whoosh!"

A far more violent surge of energy burst from Li Feng!

"This power! It's terrifying!"

Li Feng felt a cool energy flow down from the top of his head, as though it had poured straight into his mind.

Energy gushed endlessly from his body, leaving Li Feng both shocked and overjoyed!

"Li Feng, wait! Rein in your energy—the house is about to collapse!" Piccolo hurriedly shielded Grand Elder Guru.

"Sorry about that. Thank you, Grand Elder Guru."

Li Feng immediately suppressed his energy and thanked Grand Elder Guru, then took out several bags of Senzu Beans.

"These Senzu Beans can quickly restore strength and heal injuries. They're payment for unlocking our potential. Please, you must accept them."

Grand Elder Guru ate another one and immediately felt much lighter.

The exhaustion from using up his strength to unlock Li Feng's potential had vanished too.

Grand Elder Guru gladly accepted the beans and had Nail distribute them to the other Namekians.

The four of them now had these battle powers:

Son Gohan: 110,000

Piccolo: 100,000

Son Goku: 1,500,000

Li Feng: 5,000,000
