Cooler's Ultimate Transformation; Vegeta Defeated Again!

As the dust settled, a bottomless crater had formed in the ground. King Cold's ki had completely vanished, signaling his death!

"Incredible! Vegeta took down King Cold!"

Gohan couldn't help feeling happy that their side had won the battle.

"How's Goku doing?"

Krillin quickly focused his attention on Goku's fight.

Goku's battle with Cooler had also come to an end.

Cooler had been no match for Goku either. Under the Super Saiyan's assault, Cooler couldn't fight back at all. Goku seized his tail and flung him away.

Then, as Cooler hurtled through the air, Goku caught up with him and pounded him with a relentless flurry of blows. His exoskeleton shattered, and his whole body was covered in wounds. He hadn't even been at full strength to begin with—how could he possibly beat Goku now?

"Boom!"

With another deafening crash, Cooler was sent plunging into the sea, sending up a huge wave.

"Cooler, get off Earth! Frieza and your father are dead. Don't come back to Earth and cause trouble again."

In the end, Goku had softened. Krillin was alive, so his anger had subsided, and he had successfully become a Super Saiyan. Faced with Cooler in his current state, he decided to spare his life.

"Boom!"

The sea churned and a huge wave rose as a battered figure shot out of the water.

"Son Goku, I admit you're strong, but this ends now."

Cooler spoke menacingly.

Then he held out his right hand and raised one finger.

"One more."

"What?"

"I can transform one more time than that fool Frieza!"

Cooler gave a cold laugh.

Then he looked at Goku and the people watching from afar.

"You should feel honored. You're the first—and the last—to witness my transformation."

"What? That guy Cooler can transform again?"

Piccolo's keen hearing picked up Cooler's words, and he was instantly stunned.

"How is that possible? Cooler's already so strong. If he gets even stronger, will Goku still be able to beat him?"

Krillin said worriedly.

"Dad can definitely beat him!"

Gohan still had great faith in his father.

"Hmph. So what if he transforms? If Kakarot can't handle him, I'll take them both out."

Vegeta crossed his arms, utterly scornful of Cooler's arrogance.

"Ha!—"

Cooler shouted, clenching both fists as he began to build up his energy.

Rumble.

The clouds overhead dispersed, while the sea below churned under the influence of his terrifying power.

Zzzzt! Zzzzt!

As Cooler powered up, his purple aura began to swell, creating a powerful vortex. The energy crackling through the air made the temperature around them rise.

Cooler's body underwent a dramatic change. His muscles bulged and his frame grew until he stood two and a half meters tall. A white skeletal plate sprouted over his shoulders, and sharp bone spikes grew beside his arms. Four white horns rose high from his head, his pupils vanished and his eyes turned crimson, and a white bony mask formed over his mouth. All his wounds healed, too!

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!—"

Cooler's power surged at an astonishing rate, making him look even more savage and terrifying!

"W-what? That guy Cooler got so strong after transforming?"

Krillin broke out in a cold sweat. Looking at Cooler's massive frame and feeling his immense, violent ki, he couldn't help trembling with fear.

"Dad, you have to win!"

Gohan was just as worried, praying for Goku.

"Whoosh!"

Goku was the first to sense the terrifying power Cooler had gained from transforming. He immediately went on guard, but then his pupils contracted.

"Bang!"

Cooler appeared right in front of Goku in an instant and punched him in the stomach.

"Urgh! Ah!"

Goku couldn't react in time. The blow doubled him over.

"Ha!"

Before Goku could recover, Cooler slammed an elbow into his back.

With a thunderous crash, Goku's body shot toward the ground like a cannonball. The mountainside crumbled, and dust billowed into the air.

Cooler powered up in midair, sending his purple aura roaring skyward once more.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!—"

Cooler spread his arms, gathering a Ki Cannon in each hand, then unleashed a crazed barrage at Goku.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!—

His energy blasts swept across the plains at machine-gun speed, demolishing the surrounding terrain and pulverizing boulders as dust filled the air. Scorching energy surged out like lava!

After the barrage ended, thick smoke rolled through the air. The forest that had once stood there was completely blasted away, and the ground swept by the attack had sunk several meters. The spot hit by the blasts was now a bottomless crater.

After transforming, Cooler's battle power had reached 470 million, surpassing Goku's current 350 million!

"Heh heh heh heh! Hahahahaha!"

Looking at the astonishing destruction he had wrought, Cooler laughed wildly.

"So much for the Saiyans. You're no match for me!"

"Don't get ahead of yourself!"

"Hah!"

Unable to stand Cooler's arrogance any longer, Vegeta immediately transformed into a Super Saiyan.

"Boom!"

A golden flash shot toward Cooler in the sky.

"Ha!"

Vegeta struck out furiously.

"Boom!"

Cooler raised a hand and effortlessly caught Vegeta's punch, but the collision between them sent an invisible shock wave through the air.

"What?!"

Vegeta hadn't expected Cooler to block his furious attack and was stunned.

"Hmph. Pathetically weak!"

Cooler sneered.

Then he drove a knee into Vegeta's chest.

"Thud!"

The impact rang out like thunder.

"Argh!—"

Vegeta let out a cry of pain. It felt as though his internal organs had been knocked out of place.

"Boom!"

Cooler twisted and kicked Vegeta away. Then, as Vegeta flew backward, he appeared in front of him and unleashed a relentless flurry of blows.

"Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!—"

Cooler battered Vegeta in midair, pummeling him like a punching bag.

The pain from the first blow hadn't even faded when a fierce impact struck every part of Vegeta's body. He was dazed in an instant, unable to maintain his Super Saiyan form. His golden hair flickered, then finally turned black again.

"Boom!"

At last, Cooler brought both fists together and smashed Vegeta into the ground with a heavy blow.

After a loud crash, another mountain peak collapsed, and dust filled the air.

Vegeta had reverted to his normal form and lay unconscious, gravely wounded.

"No way! Even as a Super Saiyan, Vegeta couldn't beat Cooler?"

Krillin exclaimed in shock, then turned his gaze to Li Feng.

"Our only hope now is you. Please, Li Feng."

Li Feng nodded slightly, preparing to step forward.

He had actually expected Cooler to transform into his final form.

At this point in the original story, Goku should have only just returned to Earth, while Vegeta hadn't yet learned to become a Super Saiyan.

But because of him, Vegeta had transformed ahead of time and was already much stronger than he had been originally.

The same was true of Goku. When he had just returned to Earth, he shouldn't yet have reached the level of strength he would have during his fight with Cooler in the movie. It was understandable that he'd lost. It looked like Li Feng would have to step in after all.

Just as Li Feng was about to face Cooler, a golden aura burst out of the huge crater where Cooler had blasted someone. A figure slowly rose into the sky, surrounded by a golden beam of light.

"It's not over yet, Cooler!"
