Goku's Last Resort! Cooler, Annihilated!

"It's not over yet, Cooler!"

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh—"

A golden figure slowly rose into the sky.

Son Goku, battered and wounded, still refused to fall!

"Hmph. What can you possibly do in that state?"

Cooler sneered.

"Whoosh—"

Cooler slowly rose into the sky. This time, he was going to finish Son Goku for good.

"Ha—!"

Cooler powered up, and a purple aura surged into the heavens. The clouds scattered in an instant as a fierce whirlwind swept through the area.

"I've had enough of you wild monkeys! Die!"

"Supernova!"

Whoosh!

Cooler raised his right hand toward the sky, concentrating all his energy into it. A golden sphere of energy rapidly swelled, growing until it covered the entire sky above them!

"What? Is that demon Cooler trying to destroy Earth? That energy is no joke!"

Krillin's pupils contracted as he felt the aura of destruction coming from the energy sphere above. Cold sweat broke out across his brow.

"This is bad! Uncle Li Feng, please stop him! I'm begging you!"

Gohan pleaded with Li Feng.

"No, Li Feng. This is my fight. Don't interfere, or even I'll get angry with you."

Goku's voice rang out from the sky.

He truly was a Saiyan. Even in the face of certain doom, his fighting spirit remained unbroken.

Li Feng admired Goku, too. No wonder he'd always been such a big fan of him as a kid. Now that he'd gotten to know Goku, he kept discovering more and more of his charm.

"All right. You get one chance. If you fall again, I'll step in."

Li Feng promised Goku.

"Don't worry. I'll win this time."

Goku smiled.

Then he fixed his gaze on the Supernova in the sky, his expression growing serious. As the one closest to the battlefield, he could clearly sense just how terrifying its power was.

"Ka!"

Goku's shirt had been completely torn away. His upper body was a bloody mess, but he still prepared to make one final counterattack.

"Me!"

"Whoosh!"

Goku gathered his energy, bringing his hands to his waist as blue light began to gather between them.

"Ha!"

The azure light grew brighter and brighter, its radiance spreading until it eclipsed the golden aura.

"Me!"

The energy sphere grew larger and larger. Goku could barely hold back the blue Ki Blast with his hands!

"Ha!"

"Ha—!"

Goku shouted and thrust both hands toward the sky! The blue Kamehameha thundered upward, hurtling straight toward Cooler's Supernova!

"Go to hell!"

"Whoosh!"

On the other side, Cooler had finished gathering his energy. He thrust his right hand downward, sending the golden sun crashing toward the ground with an aura that threatened to destroy the world!

"Boom!"

The two forces collided in an instant, creating a tremendous vortex of energy. A vacuum briefly formed at the point of impact!

But the stalemate lasted less than a second. Cooler's Supernova immediately began overpowering the Kamehameha, gaining the upper hand!

"Could even Goku be no match for him?"

Seeing Goku's attack being pushed back, Piccolo couldn't help but despair.

"No. Saiyans have limitless potential. Goku will find a way to win in the end!"

Li Feng said confidently.

"That's right! Dad will win!"

Gohan was terrified, too, but his admiration for his father made him believe that Goku would emerge victorious.

"Yah!"

Goku gritted his teeth and shouted, unleashing an even stronger aura. His muscles swelled again, veins bulging in his arms as he fired an even more powerful Kamehameha!

The blue beam instantly grew much thicker. The Kamehameha's initial disadvantage vanished, and it began to hold its own against the Supernova, slowly forcing it back!

"Hmph! You're overestimating yourself!"

"Ha!"

Cooler sneered and powered up again. He thrust both hands forward, using his increased energy to control the golden sun and stabilize the situation. Then he pushed it toward Goku once more!

"Rumble! Rumble! Rumble—"

With Cooler's second burst of power, the Supernova descended slowly from the horizon, like a real sun about to engulf the Earth. Despair crept over everyone watching.

Goku's situation grew even worse.

The terrifying energy sphere pressed down hard against the Kamehameha, forcing the ground beneath him to cave in as it crept closer and closer to the surface!

If that energy struck the ground, the Earth would surely be destroyed!

"Yah—!"

Goku gritted his teeth and resisted with all his might. Beneath the enormous Supernova, his blue Kamehameha looked like a tiny stream of water, liable to be snuffed out at any moment.

"Ha ha ha ha! Son Goku, I admit you're strong, but I'm the strongest in the universe! That Li Feng is nothing special, either. You can all be destroyed along with this planet!"

Seeing that victory was almost within his grasp, Cooler burst into wild laughter. He would be the final victor! His father and younger brother had been too weak, which was why the Saiyans had killed them. He was the strongest in the universe!

"Hmph. You fool. You haven't won yet."

Li Feng snorted. He knew this was the decisive moment.

"Hmm?"

Cooler realized that his Supernova was only a hair's breadth from striking the ground, yet a stubborn force was still holding it back at the last moment.

"I was saving this move for Li Feng, but it looks like I have no choice but to use it now!"

Goku made up his mind and finally unleashed the technique he'd secretly been training.

"Hmm? For me?"

Li Feng asked, puzzled and curious about Goku's last-ditch means of turning the tables.

"Kaio-ken!"

Whoosh!

In an instant, a dark red flame enveloped the golden aura blazing around Goku. His energy surged, and his power doubled!

The blue Kamehameha was boosted to an unprecedented degree, swelling several times thicker before immediately forcing the Supernova back!

"What?! How is this possible?"

Cooler was horrified. His energy sphere was being pushed back! How could this be? Wasn't Son Goku barely hanging on? Where was he getting all that energy?

Cooler powered up again, trying to steady his energy sphere. But no matter how hard he controlled it with his energy or his hands—even using his feet—he couldn't stop the Supernova from being pushed back.

"Ha!"

Goku's body was running beyond its limits. Stacking the Kaio-ken on top of his Super Saiyan state had pushed his body far past what it could endure. Pain tore through him as if he were being ripped apart, but he held on with the last of his consciousness and continued pushing Cooler's Supernova back!

"No! I can't lose! Aaaah—!"

The Kamehameha rapidly drove Cooler's Supernova backward. Cooler was slammed into his own attack and hurtled back at incredible speed. No matter how hard he struggled or tried to escape, he couldn't change the fact that he was being blasted away!

Boom!

Cooler's figure was completely swallowed by the energy sphere. With a deafening explosion, he was engulfed alongside the Kamehameha and the Supernova, and the whole mass detonated in the sky!

A gigantic mushroom cloud rose overhead!

Cooler was annihilated!
