After a tremendous explosion, the figure in the sky fell limply!

"Oh no, I overdid it!"

Li Feng hurried toward the falling figure.

Could Goku really be finished just like that?

Catching Goku, Li Feng saw that his entire body had been blasted black and was speechless.

Could it be that Goku had survived Raditz only to die at his hands? That would be way too dramatic.

Fortunately, Goku was pretty tough. He still had a faint breath left.

Li Feng gave Goku a Senzu Bean. Seeing his breathing gradually return to normal, he finally relaxed.

It looked like he had to keep his fighting power under control.

Goku had really thought he was about to die. His Kamehameha had been completely reflected! His whole body had been struck by the energy!

The blast had torn his body to pieces, leaving him with barely a thread of consciousness.

Then he felt something against his lips. He ate it instinctively, and only then did he regain consciousness.

"Ha! I'm alive!" Goku let out a long breath and lay on the ground.

"You're incredible, Li Feng. I've never met anyone with such a great talent for martial arts!" Goku exclaimed.

"You're pretty incredible too, Goku. Do you want to get stronger?" Li Feng coaxed him into training on King Kai's Planet.

"Of course! I'm dying to fight powerful opponents. Please tell me how I can get stronger!" Goku pressed his hands together, his eyes shining.

"Go find Kami here on Earth, then head to a place called King Kai's Planet to train."

"Huh? King Kai's Planet?" Goku rubbed the back of his head. Being the easygoing sort, he didn't wonder how Li Feng knew all this.

Li Feng looked up at the sky, a faint smile on his face...

High above, a green figure leaning on a cane had been watching the ground the whole time.

Ever since Li Feng appeared, cold sweat had been pouring down his forehead.

"Who is this mysterious young man? Why couldn't I sense his presence before?"

Beside him stood a black-skinned man wearing a headscarf. "Kami, that strong man must be here to help Earth," Mr. Popo said.

"I can't sense any malice from him. What a powerful and mysterious person! We mustn't make an enemy of him. From what he said, when Goku arrives, we should tell him where King Kai's Planet is."

The old Kami sighed.

"An even more terrifying enemy will appear a year from now. I hope you can protect Earth."

The next morning.

Li Feng checked his own fighting power: 3,500.

Goku's fighting power: 1,900.

Because Goku had recovered after nearly dying the day before, his base fighting power had increased considerably. Li Feng had also become more familiar with fighting after facing a powerful opponent, and his fighting power had risen slightly too.

"By the way, Li Feng, was what you said yesterday true?" Goku asked about what Li Feng had told him and Piccolo after their fight.

Li Feng had told them that two stronger Saiyans would appear on Earth a year later, and that they would be far more powerful and ruthless than Raditz.

So he had suggested that Goku train on a place called King Kai's Planet, and that Gohan train with Piccolo.

"Yes. The two of them are strong! I'm nowhere near a match for them," Li Feng admitted frankly.

That was true. His current fighting power of only 3,500 was nowhere near Vegeta's 18,000 when he first arrived on Earth.

But there was still more than a year to train.

"Ugh, I don't mind going to train with King Kai, but if Gohan goes to train, Chi-Chi definitely won't allow it," Goku said anxiously.

"It's fine. You can tell her this..." Li Feng explained how Goku could persuade Chi-Chi.

"Huh? Will that really work?" Goku asked doubtfully.

"I'll help you convince her. She'll agree," Li Feng said, then took out a Capsule and handed it to Goku.

Bulma had given it to him as compensation for providing the spaceship technology—a kind of stake in the technology.

Poor Raditz had really become Li Feng's experience farm. Li Feng had even squeezed every last bit out of his spaceship.

Li Feng knew that part of the reason Chi-Chi didn't want Goku and Gohan to train was that Gohan was still young and needed to go to school. Also, their family was poor, and Chi-Chi had to feed two big eaters, which put a lot of pressure on her. Having enough money would ease some of the family's financial strain.

Though Goku usually seemed a bit dim, he knew that Li Feng's gift was far too valuable and hurriedly tried to refuse it.

But after Li Feng talked him into it, he reluctantly accepted the money and promised that he would train hard on King Kai's Planet and take Gohan along to train too.

After they finished talking, they noticed Piccolo training not far away.

They told Piccolo about their plans. At first, he had no interest in looking after a child, but when he heard that an even more powerful enemy would attack a year later—and remembered that Li Feng had once saved his life—he reluctantly agreed.

Piccolo, you can't escape being his dad now.

Li Feng chuckled to himself.

The three of them flew back to Mount Paozu. After hearing Goku's plan, Chi-Chi firmly opposed it at first. But when she saw the ample funds in Bulma's Capsule and remembered her debt to Li Feng, she finally agreed, after repeatedly reminding them to keep Gohan safe.

Chi-Chi could only take out her frustration on Goku, leaving several bumps on his head.

Only then did Li Feng understand what a Saiyan's wife was like. She really had an imposing presence and a fierce temper.

The innocent and adorable Kid Gohan was happy too. Though he was still very young, he was determined to grow stronger and train with Piccolo.

Then the two of them flew to Bulma's house.

"Whoosh!"

"Thud!"

Goku and Li Feng arrived in West City, at Capsule Corporation.

"Hey, Bulma! We're here!" Goku greeted her.

"Huh? Goku? You're here? Ah! Li Feng! You came too!" Seeing the tall, handsome Li Feng, Bulma looked excited and blushed.

"Hi, Bulma. Did you discover anything new about that Saiyan's spaceship yesterday?" Li Feng asked.

"Of course! Come on inside. Dad's really interested in alien technology too," Bulma said excitedly.

"Ho-ho-ho! What a handsome young man! Would you like to go on a date with me?"

A blonde beauty walked out of the room. Seeing the tall, handsome Li Feng, she smiled and linked her arm through his.

"Oh, Mom, this is Li Feng, Goku's friend. He saved everyone. He's here to talk to Dad about something, so let go of him!" Bulma hurriedly pulled her mother away, afraid she'd steal Li Feng from her.

"Oh my, how rude of me. I'll go prepare some tea and snacks, then," Mrs. Brief said with a smile before returning inside.

A little while later, an old man with black glasses and blue hair came out.

Bulma told her father what Li Feng wanted.

"Oh? You want to build a gravity chamber? The higher the gravity, the better?" Dr. Brief asked in surprise.

"Yes. I'd like to trade the spaceship technology for it," Li Feng said.

In the Dragon Ball world, money wasn't very useful. Its main purpose was to buy food.

Was he going to worry about food?

He'd be better off trading money for things that could improve his strength.

"No problem. Give me a week. I'll study that material properly too," Dr. Brief replied.

"Right, Li Feng. You can stay at our place in the meantime. Our house is huge."

Mrs. Brief came out with black tea and cake and spoke warmly.

"Huh? Mom? This..." Bulma covered her cheeks with both hands, blushing.

"Then thank you," Li Feng replied.

Since Vegeta hadn't arrived yet, he could look after your wife for you. No, wait—she wasn't your wife yet.

Li Feng decided he would win Bulma over.

"Wait, Li Feng. Didn't you say I'd go to King Kai's Planet in a week? How are we going to train this week? Can I stay here too?"

Goku only had training on his mind.

"Sure, if Chi-Chi agrees," Bulma said with a smile.

Goku rubbed the back of his head, which was still sore, and quickly refused.

"Hahahahaha!" Laughter rang out from the Brief family.

The final plan was for Li Feng and Goku to train during the day, while Li Feng stayed at Bulma's house at night.
