A massive explosion rang out, and the figure in the sky collapsed powerlessly!
"Blast, I used too much force!"
Li Feng rushed toward the falling figure in a hurry.
Could Goku really be finished just like that?
Catching Goku and seeing his body charred black from the blast, Li Feng was speechless.
Could it be that Goku didn't die at the hands of Raditz, but at his own? That would be far too dramatic.
Fortunately, Goku was quite resilient and still had a breath left in him.
Li Feng fed Goku a Senzu Bean and only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Goku's energy gradually stabilize.
It seemed he would have to learn to control his combat power better.
Goku truly thought he was about to die just now; his Kamehameha had been completely reflected, and his entire body had been struck by the energy!
His body was torn and mangled by the blast, leaving him with only a flickering, barely-there consciousness.
It wasn't until he felt something at his lips and swallowed it by instinct that he regained his senses.
"Ha! I'm alive!" Goku let out a long sigh and lay on the ground.
"You're truly incredible, Li Feng. I've never seen anyone with such high martial arts talent as you!" Goku exclaimed in admiration.
"You're quite something yourself, Goku. Do you want to become even stronger?" Li Feng tempted Goku to train on King Kai's Planet.
"Of course! I crave battles with powerful opponents. Please, you must tell me how to get stronger!" Goku pressed his palms together, his eyes sparkling.
"Go find the Guardian of Earth, then head to a place called King Kai's Planet to train."
"Hmm? King Kai's Planet?" Goku scratched the back of his head; being the easygoing person he was, he didn't even question how Li Feng knew these things.
Li Feng looked up at the sky, a faint, enigmatic smile playing on his lips...
High above in the sky, a green figure leaning on a cane had been observing the ground the entire time.
From the moment Li Feng appeared, cold sweat had been streaming down his forehead incessantly.
"Who exactly is this mysterious young man? Why was I unable to sense his existence until now?"
Beside him, a completely black figure wearing a turban spoke: "Guardian, that powerhouse is likely here to help Earth."
Mr. Popo said.
"I cannot sense any malice from him; he is truly a powerful and mysterious person! We must not make an enemy of him. Listen to what he said—once Goku arrives, tell him about King Kai's Planet."
The old Guardian sighed.
"In one year, even more terrifying enemies will appear. I hope you can protect the Earth."
Early the next morning.
Li Feng checked his own combat power: 3500.
Goku's combat power: 1900.
Because Goku had been healed from the brink of death yesterday, his base combat power had increased significantly, and Li Feng had also become more familiar with combat through fighting a strong opponent, resulting in a slight increase in his own power.
"By the way, Li Feng, was what you said yesterday true?" Goku asked about what Li Feng had told him and Piccolo after the fight.
Li Feng had told them that in one year, two even stronger Saiyans would appear on Earth, and they would be far more powerful and cruel than Raditz.
Therefore, he suggested not only that Goku go to a place called King Kai's Planet to train, but also that Gohan train with Piccolo.
"Yes, those two are very strong! I am far from being their match," Li Feng said candidly.
Indeed, his current combat power of 3500 was nowhere near the 18,000 that Vegeta would possess upon arriving on Earth.
But there was still over a year left to train.
"Sigh, it's fine for me to go train with that King Kai, but if Gohan goes to train, Chi-Chi definitely won't allow it," Goku said, troubled.
"It's alright, you can say it like this..." Li Feng told Goku how to persuade Chi-Chi.
"Eh? Will that really work?" Goku asked doubtfully.
"I'll go with you to convince her; she will agree," Li Feng said, then took out a capsule and gave it to Goku.
That capsule had been given to him by Bulma, described as payment for the spaceship technology he had provided, essentially his share of the tech.
Poor Raditz had truly become Li Feng's experience pack; even his ship had been squeezed for every last bit of value.
Li Feng knew that part of the reason Chi-Chi didn't want Goku and Gohan to train was that Gohan was still young and needed to attend school, and also because their family was relatively poor—Chi-Chi had to feed two bottomless pits, which was a huge burden. Sufficient funds could alleviate some of the financial pressure on Chi-Chi's family.
Although Goku usually seemed a bit dim, he knew Li Feng's gift was too valuable and tried to refuse.
But under Li Feng's persuasion, he reluctantly agreed to accept the funds and promised he would definitely go to King Kai's Planet to train hard, and that he would have Gohan train as well.
After the two finished talking, they noticed Piccolo training not far away.
They told Piccolo about their plan. At first, Piccolo had no interest in looking after a child, but after hearing about the stronger enemies coming in a year and remembering the debt he owed for being saved by Li Feng, he agreed with great reluctance.
Piccolo, you can't run from being a surrogate father now.
Li Feng chuckled to himself.
The trio flew back to Mount Paozu. After hearing Goku's plan, Chi-Chi was adamantly opposed at first, but upon seeing the ample funds in Bulma's capsules and considering the favor owed to Li Feng, she finally relented after repeatedly emphasizing Gohan's safety.
Chi-Chi had no choice but to vent her frustrations on Goku, the price of which was several bumps appearing on his head.
Only then did Li Feng truly understand what a Saiyan woman was like; their presence was indeed powerful and formidable.
The innocent and adorable little Gohan was also very happy. Although he was still quite young, he had already firmly resolved to become stronger and began training alongside Piccolo.
And so, the two of them flew off to Bulma's home.
"Whoosh!"
"Thud!"
Goku and Li Feng arrived at West City, at Capsule Corp.
"Yo! Bulma! We're here!" Goku greeted Bulma.
"Eh? Goku? You're here? Ah! Li Feng! You came too!" Seeing the tall and handsome Li Feng, Bulma's face flushed with excitement.
"Hello, Bulma. Have there been any new discoveries regarding that Saiyan spaceship from yesterday?" Li Feng asked.
"Ah, definitely. Let's go inside first; Dad is also very interested in extraterrestrial technology," Bulma said excitedly.
"Ho ho ho! What a handsome young man! Would you like to go on a date with me?"
A beautiful blonde woman walked out of the room, and upon seeing the tall, handsome Li Feng, she smiled and hooked her arm around his.
"Oh my, Mom, this is Li Feng, a friend of Goku's. He saved everyone, and he's here to discuss something with Dad. Let go of his arm!"
Bulma hurriedly pulled her mother away, fearing that she might snatch Li Feng away.
"Oh my, how rude of me. I'll go prepare some tea and snacks then," Mrs. Brief said with a smile as she returned inside.
A short while later, an elderly man with blue hair and black-rimmed glasses came out.
Bulma explained Li Feng's request to her father.
"Oh? You say you want to build a gravity room? The higher the multiplier, the better?" Dr. Brief asked in surprise.
"Yes, and I am willing to trade the technology from the spaceship for it," Li Feng said.
In the Dragon Ball world, money didn't have much utility; its greatest use was simply buying food.
Would he ever be troubled by food?
It would be better to use that money to exchange for things that could improve his strength.
"No problem, give me a week. I'll take the time to study those materials properly," Dr. Brief replied.
"That's right, Li Feng, why don't you stay at our house during this time? Our place is huge," Mrs. Brief said gently as she walked out with black tea and cake.
"Eh? Mom? This..." Bulma cupped her cheeks, looking shy.
"Then thank you all very much!" Li Feng accepted.
Since Vegeta hadn't arrived yet, he thought, I shall take care of your wife for you—no, she isn't your wife yet.
Li Feng decided to win Bulma over.
"Eh eh? Li Feng, didn't we say I'd go to King Kai's Planet after a week? How are we supposed to train this week? Can I stay here too?"
Goku had his mind set solely on training.
"Sure, as long as Chi-Chi agrees," Bulma laughed.
Goku touched the back of his head, which was still aching, and hurriedly declined.
"Hahahahaha!" Joyful laughter echoed from the Brief family.
The final plan was for Li Feng and Goku to train during the day, while Li Feng would stay at Bulma's house at night.
