"Sit still and focus on the environment around you. Be as calm as the sky and as accepting as the earth. Only with a peaceful mind can you avoid being controlled by your violent power.

"Okay!" Broly didn't have much of a mind of his own, so he did whatever Wang Yang told him.

After telling Broly how to train, Wang Yang went off by himself and worked out with weights.

War King stroked his chin and watched Wang Yang train with great concentration. His methods seemed utterly ordinary, and he couldn't imagine how such a simple training routine could produce such terrifying strength.

Could there be something about this simple training method that I don't know about? War King wondered. He decided to have his subordinates try Wang Yang's training method when he got back.

Wang Yang did a squat and noticed War King watching him. An idea came to him.

"Uncle War King, I've been wondering how the people on your planet train," Wang Yang asked curiously.

"Uh, our training methods don't compare to yours. Not at all," War King said with an awkward laugh.

"I'm curious. Tell me about them," Wang Yang said with a smile.

Every civilization had its own wisdom. Wang Yang wasn't arrogant enough to look down on them just because they were a less advanced civilization.

"Since you want to hear about it, I'll tell you. There are 365 remarkable points on the human body. These points can strengthen the body. Our training method is to massage and stimulate them, making the body stronger," War King said with a smile.

"I've come the furthest along this path. I'm undefeated here, of course, apart from you," War King said proudly.

Wang Yang's eyes lit up. The points War King described sounded a lot like the acupoints he'd heard about in his previous life.

"Uncle War King, could you teach me your training method?" Wang Yang stopped what he was doing and asked. The method he used now was the most basic one. It couldn't possibly be any less effective than this.

The body was the foundation. Only when it grew stronger could it contain more ki. If all the ki in his body was used up, then without ki to protect him, his body would return to its normal state, and an ordinary sword could finish him off.

"Sure. These methods are usually kept secret, but your strength far surpasses ours, so there's no harm in teaching you," War King said, thinking of Wang Yang's monstrous power. He nodded.

With War King's personal guidance, Wang Yang quickly learned about the points on the human body.

Massaging and stimulating these points could improve blood circulation and speed up the body's metabolism. With exercise and a good diet, it could make the body stronger.

Wang Yang didn't need anyone's help. He built on the method, controlling the ki inside him to spin and pulse at these points, constantly stimulating his body.

As a tingling, itchy sensation spread through him, Wang Yang couldn't help smiling. It felt truly strange and wonderful.

A single word from a true teacher was worth a thousand books from a false one. Every civilization deserved respect. Even the people on this planet, whose combat strength was extremely low, had their own strengths.

Among three people walking together, there was always one who could teach me something. Confucius certainly hadn't deceived me!

That day, Wang Yang was training atop a small hill when a powerful ki approached from afar. He instinctively opened his eyes and looked in that direction.

Paragus. Wasn't this guy dead yet?

Huh?

This ki... It was Dad's!

Broly opened his eyes on the ground. A moment later, he saw Paragus approaching from afar, his aura fierce.

Wang Yang had taught him to sense ki. Broly was highly perceptive, too, and had quickly gotten the hang of it.

"So you're here! I've been looking everywhere for you," Paragus said, glaring at Wang Yang through gritted teeth. Badly injured, he'd spent several days lying in a crater. He'd gone hungry and thirsty, and had only barely managed to survive thanks to the Saiyans' tenacious vitality.

Once his injuries had healed, he'd searched everywhere for Broly. To him, Broly was the hope of his entire life, and he couldn't afford to lose him.

"Dad, where have you been all this time?" Broly sprang into the air and appeared in front of Paragus.

"Dad got hurt these past few days. As soon as I recovered, I came looking for you without stopping," Paragus said vaguely, leaving out the fact that Wang Yang had injured him. It would be humiliating if people found out he'd been nearly beaten to death by a little kid.

"Damn you, Wang Yang! Go to hell!" Paragus saw Wang Yang sitting cross-legged atop the hill, watching him with a calm expression. Rage erupted in him, and he casually fired a blast.

It didn't matter whether he could win; he'd attack first and worry about the rest later. His son was right there, so he knew he'd be safe.

Wang Yang sneered and thrust his right hand forward. A blue Ki Blast shot from his palm. The two blasts struggled against each other in midair for a moment, then Wang Yang's gradually pressed toward Paragus.

My body may not have developed yet, and I may not be as strong as you, but you're asking for trouble if you want to compete with me in Ki Blasts. I was already someone you could only look up to for your entire life the moment I was born!

"Damn it!"

Paragus raised both hands, his face contorted as he struggled to resist the oncoming force. The veins in his arms bulged like tiny worms.

As the Ki Blast drew closer, its overwhelming force swept out and blew Paragus's hair straight back.

Feeling the terrifying energy ball bearing down on him, Paragus panicked and shouted.

"Broly, save me!"

Whoosh!

Broly instantly became a blur to the naked eye and kicked the Ki Blast into the sky.

Huff! Huff!

Paragus panted, unwilling to accept what had happened.

"Paragus, if you're done, get out of here. Don't disturb Broly and me," Wang Yang said coldly.

He couldn't stand Paragus, especially since Paragus treated Broly like a tool for conquering the universe. Wang Yang wanted to destroy him, but held back because he was Broly's father. Broly would have a hard time explaining it when he grew up.

"Fine, I'll go! As if I wanted to see you! Broly, let's go." Paragus glared angrily at Wang Yang, then called to Broly to leave. Broly was extraordinarily powerful, and Paragus needed to build a good relationship with him.

"I meant you. Broly is staying here with me," Wang Yang said with a frown. If Broly left, Paragus might well mold him into the same version seen in the original story. He and Broly were also bound by life and death; Broly had saved his life, after all. Knowing that Broly would become a mindless destroyer once he went berserk, Wang Yang had to find a way to help him.

"What did you say? You bastard! Broly is my son. You dare separate us?" Paragus flew into a rage.

"Your intentions are impure. You're treating Broly like a tool!" Wang Yang said, staring coldly at Paragus.

"We're leaving. Let's see you stop us!" Paragus grabbed Broly's little hand and started to leave.
