Paragus had lost his scouter and had not yet learned to sense ki, so he had no clear idea of Broly's actual combat power.
However, since Broly could easily defeat Wang Yang, who possessed a combat power of fifteen thousand, he assumed Broly's strength was at least twenty thousand.
Inside the spaceship, with Linge—the one with the highest combat power—now dead, Paragus called everyone out.
When the crew saw that their leader had been killed, they immediately laid down their arms, surrendered, and swore their loyalty to Paragus.
Accustomed to the law of the jungle in the universe, these people had no psychological barriers to switching sides.
There is no loyalty in the universe!
"Enough talk, start the ship immediately; we must leave at once," Paragus ordered urgently.
"But Brother Wang Yang hasn't come over yet. Didn't we agree to leave together?" Broly asked at this moment.
"I asked Wang Yang, and he said he likes this planet very much and doesn't want to leave," Paragus lied through his teeth.
"Really?" Broly looked at Paragus innocently. He was only two or three years old; how could he imagine the malice of the human heart?
"Yes." Paragus signaled the nearby crew members with his eyes, a thick threat hidden in his gaze.
These people were seasoned veterans of the universe, so they immediately started the ship.
Broly looked conflicted, feeling reluctant to leave Wang Yang behind.
"It's not like we aren't coming back. Once we get tired of the outside world, we'll come back to play with him," Paragus said, picking up Broly to coax him.
As long as he took Broly away, the boy would eventually be distracted by the outside world and naturally forget about Wang Yang.
"Okay!" Upon hearing that he would see Wang Yang again, Broly immediately brightened up.
Just then, the ship shuddered slightly, and a dazzling, scorching light erupted from its belly. Using this thrust, the ship shot rapidly into the sky.
After listening to the little story Wang Yang told her, Little Yue'er could no longer hold on and fell asleep.
"Uncle War Emperor, Little Yue'er fell asleep, so I brought her back." Wang Yang landed in the palace grounds holding Little Yue'er and knocked on the War Emperor's bedchamber.
Clattering sounds echoed from inside the room, as if something had fallen to the floor. A moment later, the War Emperor opened the door, his clothes disheveled and his face flushed red.
"You should have just taken her to her room; why bring her to me?" The War Emperor spoke with a tone of annoyance, though he still reached out to take her.
"Uncle War Emperor? You?" Wang Yang suddenly noticed clear red marks on the War Emperor's face. He looked him up and down, a look of realization dawning on his face.
He chuckled, his young, delicate face winking and grimacing at the War Emperor, looking quite comical.
"You little brat, you're the only one who would come to disturb me in the middle of the night." The War Emperor glared at Wang Yang, his mood ruined. If he had the energy, he would have loved to give him a good thrashing.
"Alright, alright. I'm leaving tomorrow, so who knows when I'll be able to annoy you again," Wang Yang said with a wave and a laugh.
Huh?
"What is that? Why is it so bright?"
The War Emperor let out a soft exclamation, pointing at a pillar of light rising vertically from the ground toward the sky.
Wang Yang turned his head instinctively and froze at the sight. His expression changed drastically; his entire aura exploded, and a massive flow of energy swirled around him. His body shot upward like a sharp sword piercing the heavens.
The War Emperor was blown back by the gust of wind, and even the door to his bedchamber was knocked over, faintly revealing several snow-white arms behind a yellow curtain inside the room.
"Paragus, you son of a bitch." Flying through the sky, Wang Yang gritted his teeth, staring at the spaceship climbing higher and higher.
By now, he realized he had been played by Paragus.
Paragus stood on the bridge of the ship with a glass of red wine, looking down through the glass at the planet that was growing smaller and smaller below.
"I, Paragus, have finally left this godforsaken place. My era is about to begin."
"Sir, we have detected a powerful energy signature. It is at 10,239 and still rising—11,588... 14,828... 16,023..." Just then, a subordinate's scouter began to beep, and he reported to Paragus.
"Ignore it." Paragus knew exactly whose energy that was, and he sneered with a wave of his hand.
"Father, I can feel Brother Wang Yang's ki." At this moment, Broly walked up to Paragus.
"Your Brother Wang Yang knew we were leaving and came specially to see us off," Paragus said calmly, looking through the window at the figure in the distance emitting a white aura.
"Damn it!" Wang Yang pushed his speed to the limit, but he felt the distance between him and the ship only growing.
The ship continued to accelerate, moving faster and faster until it pierced the atmosphere and headed into the vastness of space.
Wang Yang chased the ship out of the atmosphere, his body now enveloped in a blue energy shield. Under the pressure of extreme urgency, Wang Yang had finally successfully manifested the immature energy barrier.
Watching from afar as the spaceship turned into a black dot invisible to the naked eye, Wang Yang slowly came to a halt. He stood suspended in the void, looking ahead with a face full of unwillingness.
"Paragus, you are good. Truly good." Wang Yang stared at the departing ship, his hands clenched into fists, his expression cold, and a chilling light flickering in his eyes.
Having been outmaneuvered by Paragus, Wang Yang was filled with rage and wished he could tear him to pieces.
Collecting his thoughts, Wang Yang looked at the energy shield surrounding him, and his angry expression finally faded.
"I didn't expect that in my desperation, I would learn Broly's signature technique," Wang Yang muttered to himself.
This energy shield was completely different from a standard one; not only was its defensive power astonishing, but it also allowed for free movement in space without the need to worry about oxygen or cosmic radiation.
He had already grasped the basics of this move during his last fight with Broly, though he had expected it to take another month to fully master.
"Just because I don't have a spaceship doesn't mean I can't leave. I'll let you enjoy yourself for a while, but don't let me run into you again." Wang Yang sneered and began to slowly descend toward the blue-green planet below.
Since things have reached this point, complaining is of no use.
Now that he can also survive in the vacuum of space, there is no longer such an urgent need to leave.
As long as his strength is formidable and his speed is sufficient, where in the universe can he not go?
He remembers that in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the speed of Jiren from Universe 11 exceeded the speed of light; he did not take a spaceship, relying instead on flight for every journey.
Flying back from the depths of the universe took him only a short amount of time.
The next day, War King suddenly noticed Wang Yang appearing punctually at mealtime, without saying much. Since he saw him, it meant that he had not caught the spaceship last night.
It is just as well that he did not leave.
Little Yue'er and the others were overjoyed to see Wang Yang.
"Brother Yang, are you reluctant to leave me?" Little Yue'er circled around Wang Yang, her skirt fluttering, looking like a cute little sprite.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! I am reluctant to leave the cute Little Yue'er." Wang Yang pinched her chubby little face and chuckled. No matter how great his anger, he would never vent it on others, aside from the parties involved.
