Wang Yang paid no attention to how happy the others were. He was sprawled across the beast's body, wolfing down the meat in great, ravenous bites.
Delicious, delicious! Nothing in the world could possibly taste better. Starving until he saw stars, Wang Yang felt what true happiness was in that moment.
So happiness was really that simple: having food to eat when you were hungry.
While Wang Yang focused on devouring the roast meat, the Little People around him had fallen silent. They gazed up at his imposing figure.
Some of the female Little People looked up at Wang Yang with dazed, shining eyes and flushed cheeks.
Wang Yang glanced around at them, sensing their faint auras. They weren't even worth calling battle power level 1, so he ignored them and continued eating.
Suddenly, the tallest and strongest among them began whispering to those nearby. A moment later, they all bowed down before Wang Yang in worship.
"Greetings, Great King!"
"Greetings, Great King!"
Their voices rose and fell, blending together into a mighty chorus.
"I'm not your Great King. I'm just an ordinary traveler from space."
Wang Yang waved a hand as he ate.
But these people were stubborn and insisted on calling him their Great King.
In the end, Wang Yang gave up and let them do as they pleased.
That day, Wang Yang was training on a mountaintop. Flames of energy swirled around him as his powerful aura surged skyward, scattering the clouds above.
What incredible power!
The Great King is so handsome!
The Little People watching from afar were astonished as energy blazed around Wang Yang. Some of the women gazed dreamily at his "mighty" figure.
I can finally control the Great Ape's power at will. Wang Yang clenched his fists, thrilled to feel strength ten times greater than his normal state.
Wang Yang no longer needed the Artificial Moon as a medium. He could control the Great Ape's power whenever he wished.
The Legendary Super Saiyan transformation granted a fiftyfold increase. He still couldn't transform for the time being, but he was quite satisfied with a tenfold boost.
If I master the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation while in Great Ape form and become a Super Great Ape, how powerful would I be? The thought suddenly flashed through Wang Yang's mind.
The Great Ape Transformation multiplied his power tenfold. If he then transformed into a Legendary Super Saiyan and became a Super Great Ape, would that give him a five-hundredfold boost?
And what if I took it even further and ascended to Super Saiyan 4? How powerful would I be then? At the thought of such an incredible increase, Wang Yang trembled with excitement. This transformation followed a known path: in the GT Timeline, Son Goku had used these very methods before ultimately ascending to Super Saiyan 4.
The very thought of it was thrilling. Wang Yang's mind filled with dazzling golden Super Saiyan forms, and he was practically drooling.
Get angry! Get angry! What could possibly make me angry? Seated cross-legged on a boulder, Wang Yang rubbed his chin and muttered to himself. There were plenty of things that could make a person angry, but he couldn't think of anything that would make him lose control. No one had crossed his bottom line yet.
Just as Wang Yang was deep in thought, an untimely voice rang out.
"Great King! Great King! An Iron-Armored Beast has invaded our territory, and many of our people have been killed. We beg you to help us!"
The former Dwarf Race chief, badly wounded, stumbled and crawled over to Wang Yang, shouting for help.
"..."
Coming back to his senses, Wang Yang stared at him speechlessly. He was beginning to suspect that these people hadn't made him their Great King without an ulterior motive.
One day, they would say they'd found an incredibly delicious beast but couldn't handle it, and ask Wang Yang to step in.
The next day, they'd claim another giant beast had attacked them out of nowhere and beg him to save them.
Or they'd run into a tough opponent while expanding their territory and come crying to Wang Yang again.
The examples were endless. Wang Yang hadn't even been on this planet for half a month, yet this fellow came to ask for help practically every day. Their little territory kept growing as they squeezed other creatures out of their habitats. After just these few days of expansion, it had grown more than threefold.
Even though Wang Yang knew exactly what they were up to, he smiled and didn't mind. If he didn't want to act, no one could make him.
For a species to survive, it had to encroach on the living space of others. That was how humanity's ancestors had, generation after generation, hacked their way through the wilderness and defeated countless enemies until they made mankind the masters of the planet.
The Dwarf Race was tenacious and dared to challenge the strong despite their fear. Wang Yang wouldn't look down on them for being weak, so he helped them with a few small favors whenever he could.
Though small in stature, the Dwarf Race looked much like him, right down to their facial features. They were also clever and treated him with great respect. They knew how to use the strength of others to their advantage, too. They might yet become the masters of this planet.
After spending a month on the planet, Wang Yang shot into the sky and disappeared from the Dwarf Race's sight, while they wailed and begged him to stay.
The former chief of the Dwarf Race threw himself on the ground, weeping so bitterly that he could barely contain himself.
Time held no meaning in the vast universe. There were no seasons, only eternal darkness and solitude. Wang Yang passed one inhabited planet after another and witnessed countless civilizations. As he traveled, his young body gradually grew and matured.
"Elder Pybara, I've been on Yardrat for two years now, and I've learned almost everything you have to teach me. It's time for me to leave and see other civilizations." Wang Yang walked up to Pybara and respectfully bowed as his disciple.
Two years earlier, Wang Yang had obtained the coordinates of planets across the universe from a space merchant. He'd then set out for Yardrat to become Pybara's disciple and study under him.
"You have exceptional talent. You've mastered in a short time what most people couldn't learn in a lifetime, and I have nothing left to teach you. But the universe is vast and full of wonders, and there is still much for you to learn. Never grow arrogant or complacent. Keep a fearless heart and always strive to improve." Pybara clasped his hands behind his back and looked earnestly at his remarkable disciple.
"Yes!"
Wang Yang seemed to remember something. He reached into his pocket, took out a crystal-clear orb, and handed it to Pybara.
"Elder, you're the only one protecting Yardrat. If you ever encounter a powerful enemy, crush this orb, and no matter where I am, I'll come running."
Now that he'd learned Instant Transmission, returning to Yardrat would be easy.
"Good!"
Pybara took the orb. He knew his own strength was limited and that he could only scare away enemies. He had experienced firsthand just how powerful his disciple was. Even Frieza wouldn't stand a chance against him.
Wang Yang touched his forehead with his index and middle fingers and took a long look at Pybara. Then his body flickered, and he vanished from the spot.
"To have received such an outstanding disciple as you in my lifetime is a true blessing."
Pybara smiled as he watched the place where Wang Yang had departed. His disciple was powerful and knew how to honor his teacher. Pybara couldn't have been more satisfied.
