"Mom, Gohan's been taken away! What are we going to do?" Wang Sheng pointed at Piccolo's rapidly receding figure and cried out anxiously.
"Be a good boy, Little Sheng. Gohan's just gone to train." Bulma felt a headache coming on. How was she supposed to explain this to Chi-Chi? Just thinking of Chi-Chi's furious tirade made Bulma feel guilty. Maybe she should hide out somewhere for a while first?
"Bulma, when is Wang Yang coming back?" Krillin asked.
"Every time he goes to train in space, he's gone for at least a month or two, sometimes as long as six months. I have no idea when he'll be back." Bulma ran a hand through her long blue hair and said with a troubled expression.
"Huh? Kami just contacted me and told me to gather everyone to train at Kami's Lookout," Krillin suddenly exclaimed.
"The Heavenly Realm? Then I'm going too. Little Sheng can train there while we're at it." Bulma was overjoyed. She'd been at a loss about where to go.
She wasn't like Chi-Chi, who was always thinking about how Gohan should study hard instead of training.
Bulma supported her son's training. Besides, powerful enemies would invade in a year, and having greater strength would help her son protect himself.
That evening, when Chi-Chi still hadn't seen Bulma bring Gohan home, she called Bulma.
"Ah? Chi-Chi! Well, it's like this... So, powerful enemies are coming in a year, and Piccolo took Gohan away to train. You don't need to worry." Bulma spoke in a flustered whisper.
As she spoke, she held the phone far away. Sure enough, the next moment, Chi-Chi's furious roar came through loud and clear, even from a distance.
"Don't worry? How can I not worry? That's King Piccolo!"
"Gohan's supposed to become a great scholar. Why would he do something so dangerous? What if something happens to him? Let Goku and people like Wang Yang handle this sort of thing. Why take Gohan along? And King Piccolo is so terrifying! He'll corrupt my sweet Gohan!"
"Hello? Hello? Why did the signal cut out? Chi-Chi, I've got a bad signal here. I'll call you later!" Bulma said "hello" twice, her face awkward, then hurriedly hung up.
Phew!
After hanging up, Bulma patted her chest and sighed with relief. She was plenty brave and feisty herself, but even she couldn't handle Chi-Chi when she got angry.
"My poor Gohan!"
At Mount Paozu, Chi-Chi covered her face and wept alone, heartbroken.
In a distant corner of the universe, explosions rang out across a beautiful planet teeming with life. Countless beings lay in pools of blood.
"Low-Class Warriors really are Low-Class Warriors. They're completely useless—getting killed by a kid, of all things." A bald, muscular man sat on a rock, his face full of disdain.
"Hmph!" The short man beside him, with hair that stood straight up, gave a cold snort.
"Are we going to that planet to avenge Raditz?" the bald man asked.
"Why avenge a useless fool? There are hardly any Saiyans left as it is. Those two kids seem to have real potential. I'll bring them under my control, along with Kakarot. As the Saiyan Prince, I'll restore the Saiyans to their former glory," Vegeta declared proudly.
He said that, but his true thoughts were different.
How can I, the Saiyan Prince, keep serving under Frieza forever? Even if it means defying his orders, I'm going to Earth this time. If I bring those two promising Saiyans under my control and train them to become my right-hand men, I'll have the strength to resist Frieza.
"Come to think of it, Kakarot's son has incredible potential—far greater than the other Saiyan children!" Vegeta said coolly. He thought Wang Sheng was Kakarot's son.
"Could it just be a coincidence?" Nappa asked.
"Impossible! How could a Low-Class Warrior father a child with such incredible potential? He must be the child of a Saiyan and someone from that planet, with some kind of powerful ability," Vegeta said, shaking his head.
"Ha ha! That'd be great if it were true. We'd just need to breed lots of them, and ruling the universe would no longer be a dream." Nappa laughed happily.
"Don't be ridiculous. If the whole universe were full of people like that, we'd have nowhere left to stand."
"Let's go! We're heading to Earth!" The two stood and headed for their spacecraft, bound for Earth!
The Blue-Green Planet.
Two figures, one large and one small, stood on the calm surface of a lake. Flowers bloomed along the shore, colorful buds dotting the scenery.
With long, cascading hair, a lithe figure, and skin like jade, a woman sat quietly among the beautiful flowers, basking in the sweet air as she watched the two on the lake.
Suddenly, ripples spread across the smooth, mirrorlike water. They grew larger and larger, radiating from beneath the child's feet and expanding outward.
But when the ripples reached Wang Yang's feet, they seemed to meet some invisible force and immediately settled.
"To control the ki in your body as easily as you control your own limbs, you must first make your mind as calm as a lake. Only when you have perfect control over your ki can you perform many techniques with ease," Wang Yang said softly.
The Namekians' training methods were very similar to those of the Yardratians. Both sought peace of mind and a strong spirit, allowing them to control their ki perfectly. That was why their secret techniques were so alike, including giant forms, regenerating severed limbs, unlocking potential, splitting, and fusion. The Yardratians had simply studied these techniques in greater depth.
The child's strained expression gradually relaxed, and the ripples beneath his feet grew less violent.
Wang Yang understood what he was seeing.
His power is too strong. It's still a little beyond him right now!
Suddenly, Wang Yang appeared behind the child. His right hand traced strange patterns in the air, and a mysterious, intricate symbol appeared before him.
Wang Yang pressed his right hand forward. The mysterious symbol passed straight through the child's clothes and imprinted itself on his back, its faint lines barely visible.
If Wang Sheng had seen this, he would have recognized that the markings on the child's back were identical to his own.
As soon as Wang Yang finished, the child's overwhelming aura gradually weakened. The ripples beneath his feet slowly faded until the lake's surface was smooth as a mirror.
Seeing this, Wang Yang nodded slightly, a trace of approval on his face.
Both children had terrifying power within them, but they were still too young to control it. To prevent them from accidentally hurting anyone, he had to seal that power temporarily.
Of course, if they became extremely angry or their lives were threatened, the seals within them would temporarily come undone.
That was why Wang Yang had left despite knowing Raditz would soon arrive on Earth. Raditz was nothing to worry about; his son alone could handle him.
